3627ArticleRick Ace RhodesI can't really remember ever asking for something and not receiving it. I didn't really ask for much around the holidays when I was a kid, I would often make out a small list of things, and most of my presents that followed were either things my family thought I would like or things they heard me mention and thought would be a good gift. There are some darker sides to Christmas though. Not getting to spend it with certain family members because of either family drama, falling outs or them just not being able to travel home. There's sad aspects but I guess you just have to focus on the good. Dec 22, 2016View

3645ArticleRick Ace RhodesI've tried getting into M.A.S.K. since I was a fan of it's sequel Vor-Tech. But I just couldn't do it. It seemed just far too cheesy in some regards compared to other 80's cartoons. I never really got that feeling when I used to watch old episodes of things like the original Transformers series or GI Joe series on YouTube. It also seemed kind of bland in some regards. The Rebirth of M.A.S.K. and the Nostalgia StruggleDec 31, 2016View
3652ArticleRick Ace RhodesCool article Hoju. The worst road trip story I have wasn't even from an actual road trip: my father and I went on a trip to my orthodontist who was about an hour away. The ensuing trip and back actually took seven hours, as every possible thing from closed roads, getting lost and nearly getting into a car accident occurred.Family Road TripsJan 02, 2017View
3653ArticleRick Ace RhodesNice article MassReality! I've often wondered what it must of been like for a video store clerk back in the day. I'm sure like all clerk jobs it offered customers that were annoying, odd or actually interesting. It's a shame that technology has made things like this obsolete. It may have made our lives more convenient, but it removed some of the fun that once was involved in the inconvenience. My father loves to tell this story of how on Saturday's him and his friends would go out to the mall, drink and eat, and then spend the day in the record store digging through shelves and looking to see what cool records were in stock. Now and days that's all removed, you can just go to iTunes and find what you want. I've often wondered: why are new video releases released on Tuesdays? Even today new movies on DVD and Blu-Ray are often released on Tuesdays. Is it because Sunday's usually aren't business days and so Monday's have to be used to instead ship and receive them in stores to be put out on shelves? The Video Store ClerkJan 02, 2017View
