2162 | Article | Vaporman87 | I watched some of the season one episodes, but didn't get too far into the season... yet. Glad to know this about the movie though. Doesn't sound like something I want to see. | Mar 26, 2015
2169 | Article | Vaporman87 | Sheesh! No kidding it was rough! I think the worst injury I suffered involved my ankle and the side of my right foot. We were playing Nerf basketball inside our apartment in college, and I jumped and landed on one of my roommates foot and hurt mine. It swelled up and started to turn blue. To this day, my right foot is now wider than my left. Then, one day I was merely stepping off the basketball court at my parent's house and put my foot down on uneven ground, twisting my ankle. I had to walk on crutches for almost two weeks. | Rec Center Memories - Chicken Fight | Mar 28, 2015
2166 | Article | Vaporman87 | That's something I've never done... break anything (knock on wood). My sister AND brother both had broken arms, but I've been lucky enough to not break anything (though I should have many times). I think I would have been pretty upset with the moron who swept my legs out on a balance beam. Who does that? And with regard to the reaction of those on base to your injury, that's something we sorely need back. This mentality that the everything needs to be litigated and over examined is out of hand. It was a fall on a piece of equipment. It happens. Kids get thrown off of merry-go-rounds when they make them go to fast... it happens. We're going to litigate all the fun out of life. | Rec Center Memories - Chicken Fight | Mar 27, 2015
2177 | Article | Vaporman87 | Such an awesome and epic read. I was reminded so much of the dogs of my youth. My first dog was named King, and though I don't recall what type he was, I do know he was about the size of a wiener dog and was black and brown. The next dog I owned was the most special to me. Suzie was a Norwegian Elk Hound. She had that characteristic curled up tail and long fur... grey and black in color. We had her from the time she was a puppy, until I was forced to move from the house I grew up in because of my mom and dad's divorce and her deciding to move to another town. She ended up at my cousin's house where I would occasionally visit her. I have video of one of those visits to remember her with. She was very special to me. I even wrote a song about her when I was young. LOL. I miss that dog. | The Dog Days of Childhood | Mar 30, 2015
2179 | Article | Vaporman87 | Oh yeah, also I loved the part of the story where you guys ran away from home! So typical for kids in those days. Running away... for like a couple of hours. Then realizing it's pretty much pointless and heading home to face the consequences. I thought maybe the whole thing was going to end up blowing over, and you would never have had to face it. Not so though. Lesson learned, anyway. | The Dog Days of Childhood | Mar 30, 2015
2186 | Article | Vaporman87 | No doubt about it, the early days of "Turtlemania" were the best. I thoroughly enjoyed both the cartoon series and the first live action film, though I've commented before that I thought it could have done a bit better with a little more star power and some deeper character exploration. Naturally I had some of the toys, but my brother was in their prime demographic (I was around 14 - 18) so naturally he had more. Even so, I enjoyed the turtle merchandise. One thing I will say for the newest animated incarnation... they have gone out of their way to pay homage to it's predecessor. Including all the old favorites like "fly" Baxter, Leatherhead, Metal Head, Rat King, and more. Once, while visiting Dimension X, the turtles look into a portal and see their 1980's cartoon counterparts walking down the street with April in her classic yellow jumpsuit. The original voice actors from that cartoon portray themselves once more at the end of that episode (in a little pre-credits nugget for the fans). They had several episodes that took place at April's relative's farm (with the house looking VERY MUCH like the one from the 1990 movie. In another recent episode, Casey Jones uses the classic line, "The class is Pain 101. You're instructor is Casey Jones." Then his opponent retorts with "Did you really just say that kid?" LOL. Good stuff. They've had voice talent come in like Corey Feldman doing "Slash" (he did Donatello's voice in the 1990 film) and of course, Rob Paulson doing Donatello. It's a nice way to introduce the turtles to a new generation while showing some love for those of us who grew up on the originals. | Turtles: The Teenage Mutant Kind | Apr 01, 2015
2192 | Article | Vaporman87 | I never actually watched a single episode of the show. I did catch bits and pieces of Sabrina, but that's about the extent of my Melissa Joan Hart experience. Even so, it was neat to learn of this spin-off that didn't take. It's always neat to see what could have been. I can't imagine how many shows have pilots or episodes that have never been released. A whole channel could likely be dedicated to such things. THAT would be cool. | Clarissa Now - A Review | Apr 03, 2015
2204 | Article | Vaporman87 | @Retro King: Do you mean to say that you recorded YOURSELF performing broadcasts, or you simply recorded actual radio broadcasts? If it's the former, then I am in the same boat. I still have several cassette tapes with my friends and I acting out our "broadcasts". Great stuff. | My Christmas 1982 | Apr 05, 2015
2211 | Article | Vaporman87 | Yeah... I'm finding it hard to disagree with you on about all of these. Especially the redhead from Just The Ten of Us and Nicole Eggert. They were both knockouts. I would also add the sister from The Wonder Years and Alyssa Milano from Who's The Boss. She was very attractive as well. Nice list here Hoju! | Hottest TV Sisters | Apr 11, 2015
2216 | Article | Vaporman87 | Oh yeah, that's right. They weren't blood related. She would have been more like a step-sister (didn't they get married later on?). | Hottest TV Sisters | Apr 13, 2015 |
