3510ArticleVaporman87A lot of my exposure to Star Wars in my early days came in the form of merchandise. I don't remember ever watching the movies until around high school, by which time the films themselves would have been over and done with for about four or five years. It was in high school that my Star Wars nerd friend forced me to watch all the films on VHS tape... many times over. From there, I felt more of a connection to the story and the characters. I still wasn't a big Star Wars nerd, but I cared enough about it to collect a few movie related things here and there. Probably my favorite Star Wars merchandise was the Super Nintendo game series. Those games really did a good job of capturing what made the movies great. Apr 11, 2016View
3508ArticleVaporman87Great review of the comic series, Hoju. I think my problem with most comic book series spawned from a toy line that ALSO had a cartoon series, was that I didn't like being confused with all the different character and story elements. Many times you would have pretty big differences in the cartoon and the comics. Origin stories would differ, character attributes would differ, and character personalities might not always be consistent between them. This was really an issue with the He-Man and the MOTU line. The mini-comic world greatly differed from the cartoon world. There were so many differences that you just had to decide which it was that you were going to base your playtime off of.Action Figure Comics Review - VisionariesApr 11, 2016View

3525ArticleVaporman87Battle Beasts! Believe or not I was loyal to Wood. Sorry man. You can make stuff out of wood. Fire... water... not so much. I didn't have too many of the figures. Just a few. The comic would have been an instant turn off for me, with no color. I had to have color in my comics or I simply wasn't interested. That's why I missed out on the Turtles in the comics, and some other cult favorites. Ah well. Action Figure Comics Review: Battle BeastsApr 27, 2016View
3526ArticleVaporman87Karate Man-Man 2.0 is awesome!!! I would totally pony up $30 bucks for him and the upgrades! LOL. Karate Man-Man would make an excellent villain in any toy line, but especially in the ninja world of Dutch and Hamato. He makes way more sense there. 3538ArticleVaporman87I can't remember much about my skateboard growing up, except that I'm fairly certain it had too much pink on it for my tastes. I was never proficient at skateboarding, but I managed to get good enough to stay on without busting my head open.Skate or DieMay 01, 2016View
