I know there was a great deal more to it than that, but the memories are fuzzy. I would get in right in the middle of something, not really understanding everything that had gone on prior to my viewing. That being said, it was easy to see that the producers had fun playing up the relationships between the six of them. Specifically Zach and Kelly, Slater and Jessie, and Screech and Lisa. | 3503 | Article | Vaporman87 | This captures the whole Virtual Reality craze SOOO well. It is indeed laughable to think back on what we considered to be "virtual reality" in those early days. I never really experienced anything, even still today, that I could consider to be authentic virtual reality. But we are certainly getting closer than ever. What with Google and many other tech companies presenting their futurewares that will produce images from the gear on your face that "adhere" to the surfaces around you, and so forth. But in the end they just felt like a toy line full of Buzz-Off's relatives. Which really isn't that enticing... no offense to Buzz-Off. It is nice to see so much effort go into creating worlds and interesting characters for the line. That is something that was still a novel idea at the time. I don't remember ever watching the movies until around high school, by which time the films themselves would have been over and done with for about four or five years. It was in high school that my Star Wars nerd friend forced me to watch all the films on VHS tape... many times over. From there, I felt more of a connection to the story and the characters. I still wasn't a big Star Wars nerd, but I cared enough about it to collect a few movie related things here and there. Probably my favorite Star Wars merchandise was the Super Nintendo game series. I think my problem with most comic book series spawned from a toy line that ALSO had a cartoon series, was that I didn't like being confused with all the different character and story elements. Many times you would have pretty big differences in the cartoon and the comics. Origin stories would differ, character attributes would differ, and character personalities might not always be consistent between them. This was really an issue with the He-Man and the MOTU line. The mini-comic world greatly differed from the cartoon world. Just a few. The comic would have been an instant turn off for me, with no color. I had to have color in my comics or I simply wasn't interested.
