1421ArticleHoju Koolander@pikachulover That's crazy. All those trips to the Halloween Haunt, I thought for sure you would have had some sort of annual pass to Movieland Wax Museum. Chupacapra by the train tracks sounds like a great legend. Were there any goats there for him to snack on or just McNuggets? @NLogan I only know the Marvel comics version of Wendigo who fought the Hulk (and Wolverine in his first appearance), I'll have to check out the original version. My favorite was always "The Ghost with the Bloody Fingers". Nice list of wax memories, I remember being impressed that Michael Jackson had a whole room devoted to himself with a figure in his "Bad" outfit and they played his music videos from that album on a loop. Oct 13, 2014View

1772ArticleHoju Koolander@pikachulover Sweet Christmas! And he still looks so new! He must be surrounded by Christmas magic from his time with Santa. Thanks for sharing.Forgotten Christmas: PhroomfJan 08, 2015View

2066ArticleHoju Koolander@pikachulover Of course you do! If your collection ever goes up on eBay I'll be the first in line to snag your Phroompf doll and those booklets at a "reasonable price". @Vaporman87 That's a good point. From my research there was a Napoleon figure in the Bill and Ted line that never actually made it to store shelves. Not that the kids were really clamoring to get a tiny dictator to re-enact historical battles with. @NLogan Leave it tour resident detective to pull this one out. I was actually going to mention that in the article, but I figured 2 paragraphs was more than enough for a toy line most of us ignored. It is hilarious though. Mattel pulled a similar stunt when they repurposed a bunch of The New Adventures of He-Man toys for the Demolition Man figures a few years later.Kenner Action Toy Guide '91Mar 07, 2015View
4385ArticleHoju Koolander@pikachulover Nope, never saw a Lakers or Clippers game as a kid. Though Shaq did have action figures made by Kenner, so you would think he could have gotten my allegiance that way. His best bet would have been to make a cartoon show like ProStars.Retro Magazine RoundUp: Sports Illustrated 1994May 09, 2018View
1796ArticleHoju Koolander@pikachulover My wife seconds your comment about the big glasses. I guess since that was kind of a unisex style, I never associated it with just women's fashion. But Annie Potts as Jeanine in Ghostbusters is one great example of it. @vaporman87 Hey, at least your Dad will have some bartering power in the post-apocalyptic world. What will YOU have...Moss Man mint in package?! j/kWomen's Fashion of the 80sJan 15, 2015View
4547ArticleHoju Koolander@pikachulover It's well documented that you and I had very similar experiences growing up, I guess it should be no surprise we had identical bedding. If it were socially acceptable I probably would have worn that Punky Brewster shirt as well. @Benjanime Makes sense, a Pound Puppy is a pet for life!10 Pop Culture Dogs of the 80sSep 06, 2018View
1339ArticleHoju Koolander@pikachulover I was Goofy, The Genie, Woody, Baloo, Brer Bear, Mr. Incredible, Kronk and my favorite, the Queen of Hearts. My version of the Queen was quite a diva.A Haunting ExperienceSep 27, 2014View
1841ArticleHoju Koolander@pikachulover I loved Today's Special! "Hocus Pocus Alamagocus..." Muffy wasn't quite as memorable to me as Sam the Security Guard or Jeff the Mannequin, but it's awesome that you gave a generic stuffed toy some star power by associating it with the show.Stuffed Animals of the 80'sJan 26, 2015View
