ArticleVaporman87And my daughter, though she doesn't watch Thundercats much, says she finds Mumm-Ra to be very creepy. So, she thanks you for the nightmare fuel.  Oct 14, 2015View
ArticleVaporman87What a delightfully dark article. It's certainly a rush to believe you're in the right time and place to experience the supernatural if it exists. Even when you don't, the feeling is highly memorable. I've never been in a place that I felt was "haunted". I have been in places where you felt the "ghosts" of what used to be. Dilapidated houses that left much to your imagination as to what things must have been like when it was actually someone's dwelling. Your imagination takes over, and you envision what might have been. That in itself feels a bit supernatural, if not overly fanciful. Thank you for this great read, Nlogan. 2907ArticleVaporman87I can't imagine the fear you must have felt just prior to realizing the prank that had been played on you. That would definitely be something I NEVER forgot. A great tale of childhood shenanigans. It's great that you were able to revisit that "sacred" place in your memories. That too, would be quite memorable.Urban Legend visit of my youth-revisitedOct 14, 2015View

ArticleVaporman87While traveling though West Virginia, a gentleman whom I work with and who has known my family for generations explained to me that somewhere in a wooded area off the highway was a now overgrown and hidden graveyard where some of my ancestors were buried. I remember this because he had told me that their last names had been either Corne or Korne or something like that, and that I also had ancestors with the last name Cobb. Korne, Cobb, ... corn cobb. Hahaha.Urban Legend visit of my youth-revisitedOct 14, 2015View
ArticleVaporman87That's a neat story DirtyD. That had to be a great tour to take. To see all those strange and seemingly senseless features in the house, that has to be very cool.Searching for a Real Haunted HouseOct 15, 2015View
ArticleVaporman87That's one thing I wanted to avoid when choosing a costume for trick or treating... I didn't want to be predictable. I wanted to keep people guessing as to what I would be each year.Gwen Costume 2000Oct 15, 2015View
ArticleVaporman87Both of those places look incredibly cool to visit... the barren spot simply because of it's lore and it's placement in the middle of nowhere, and the house because it just looks incredible. Perfectly preserved for decades, ripe with history just waiting to be found, photographed, and researched. What a trip this had to be. This was a fun read! The Devil's Tramping GroundOct 15, 2015View
ArticleVaporman87Okay so, I'm going to be up front and confess that I am pretty sure this is the first article I have read here that brought a little moisture to my eyes. I can't imagine losing a parent at such a young age, then having to face that and the holiday that really brought you both so much joy all at once every year thereafter. That you treat it more like a celebration of those times instead of a time to mourn is honorable and amazing. I can't know what you went through, but I too lost my mother in late October (actually the day after my wedding anniversary). So celebrating our anniversary and mourning the death of my mom are almost inseparable. But in the end both days are really a celebration of love. Love gained and love lost.I was born in love with Halloween. Oct 15, 2015View
ArticleVaporman87Epic. lol. Just epic, this. On the down side, it's pretty easy to see why Halloween sucked for you. I mean... pooping your pants... that pretty much seals the deal. But there are just so many reasons here for you to despise Halloween, yet you seem to have made peace with it. Perhaps as time goes on, and you have kids of your own, then Halloween will become what it should have always been for you... a joy.Halloween SucksOct 15, 2015View
