Article | Radical | @Vaporman87: Yeah, I left it open-ended in case I ever wanted to repoot him. My skills have almost met my ambitions after all these years. I do feel Pooter's decade was the 90s, like Eddie Murphy's was the 80s. @NLogan: My brother and I would write letters to every business, enter every contest, and send in proof of purchases for every cool toy. Not sure how my parent felt about it, but they provided the stamps and envelopes. Snail mail was awesome in a way that social media isn't: tangible and professional. I always wanted Sonic or Mario to read my letters, which I'm sure they did. @vkimo: Hey thanks! The formatting worked its way out while I was writing it, but I had to start off with an obvious poot joke to clear the air. Would you believe the most time and effort went into identifying and finding fonts they used in 90s kids magazines? I eventually used a Scrapbook making software that had 1000 fonts in it. | Aug 29, 2017 | |
Article | Ajimbo | @Vaporman87: The Big Orange Couch was given away in a contest with $20,000 dollars in the cushions. The manager of the Sony studio in LA went to grad school with me two years ago and told me that her friends won it when I mentioned I studied nostalgia. | 210 | Video | blueluigi | @Vaporman87: That's J.D. Roth. He was also the host of a game show called "Fun House". It wasn't on Nickelodeon, but it had quite some similarities to Double Dare. | GamePro TV Episode - Mag-net-o Edition | Jan 26, 2013 |
Article | Hoju Koolander | @Vaporman87: My favorite lyric of the Gummi Bears theme is "Magic and mystery are part of their history, along with the secret of Gummi Berry Juice..." Very medieval/sword and sorcery with all those horns blaring. @thecrow174: Excellent point. Duck Tales and Rescue Rangers had some of the best NES games ever, not limiting the discussion to just licensed games. So it's odd that Gummi Bears never go that treatment. | The Disney Afternoon Revisited | Jan 16, 2015 |
Video | Benjanime | @vaporman87: i haven't tried it myself, but according to someone on a gaming messageboard, prior to selecting the summon nothing happens, and the game crashes a couple of seconds after | Kingdom Hearts Early 2001 E3 Trailer | Feb 21, 2013 |
Article | Benjanime | @Vaporman87: exactly. it's just like james rolfe said himself, it just doesn't feel natural playing them on the computer | Obscure Gaming Legacy Volume 1 | Jan 26, 2013 |
Article | BionicleFan1994 | @Vaporman87, yeah I would have included my thoughts Harvey Birdman and Sealab 2021, but I didn't want to make the article too long and plus I don't know much about Sealab 2021. | Adult Swim: 20 Years Of An American Institution. | Aug 17, 2021 |
Article | munkysrench | @Vaporman87, I'll admit, getting through The Killing Joke was pretty tough the first time for me, being how graphic it was. But I think that's what stands out about Batman compared to other comic book characters is that raw unedited storyline. @Ben, I actually was going to make this one a lot longer, but thought with the synopsis that it was long enough. I knew I should've written more! lol | The Cereal Box in the Closet | Aug 13, 2015 |
Article | Hoju Koolander | @Vaporman87-You're Dad met Ric Flair? All I can say is "Whooo!" Hey contributing to MOTU is way beyond my TV appearance, people actually have your work in their collections. @NLogan-That summer crush story is great. I didn't have the technical set-up to transfer VHS and do screen caps when I wrote the Great Pretenders article all those years back, so now that I do it seemed the perfect time to create a better version of that article with visual documentation. @vkimo-I look forward to your Toni Braxton cover album dropping soon. | KIDS, Incorporated: Dreams Come True | Sep 23, 2014 |
Article | Superman | @Vaporman87 You've got quite a nice list there. @mickyarber It's nice to see some more love for Tracy Scoggins. I sometimes feel like she's underrated. @OldSchool80s Elisabeth Shue is definitely a beautiful woman. | My Retro Crushes | Mar 26, 2016 |
