ArticleCaps 2.0What I find interesting is that Taco Bell, which serves Pepsi drinks, promoted Batman '89 in theaters, while Coca-Cola's Diet Coke was promoted on the film's first VHS release. The two big names in soda both promoting Batman are proof of how big the movie was. Jun 22, 2019View
ArticlejkatzRemember the Bugs Bunny/Daffy Duck commercial for the WB Catalog that came with the vhs? "You can't watch a Warner Brothers movie without a Warner Brothers ballcap!"Batman 1989 Movie MerchandiseJun 22, 2019View
ArticleVaporman87Jkatz: I do remember the Bugs/Daffy ad on the VHS. Though it never persuaded me to take any action. Batman 1989 Movie MerchandiseJun 23, 2019View
ArticlejkatzWell, the ad had the opposite effect on me...unfortunately by the time I saw it, the number was long out of service. Back on topic: they recently re-released the Danny Elfman soundtrack on vinyl with nifty new artwork. And how can you overlook the action figure of Bob, the Joker's loyal henchman? You can even see him in the pictures you posted. Batman 1989 Movie MerchandiseJun 24, 2019View

ArticleBenjanimeif i recall, 1991 was when both the beetlejuice and ghostbusters cartoons ended, so it's kind of odd seeing toylines coming out at such a late time, especially when the real ghostbusters was starting to have really bad episodes late in the series.Kenner Action Toy Guide '91Jul 12, 2019View

ArticlepikachuloverI had a bunch of those items growing up. The Ducktales book, the Little Mermaid book, The Snow White and Disney Mother Goose books on tape. The Mother Goose one was one my favorites to listen to and I had it memorized. Brer Rabbit and the Tar Baby but the book and cassette version. A knockoff Super Soaker, Beauty and the Beast stickers, and the McDonald's Tamagotchi toy. I had the poster of the cat with the Teddy bear and the Safety in Numbers one. I remember what a big deal that Save by the Bell poster was in my 4th grade class. I think you got it free with an order from the book club. I think I purposely didn't order books so I would not get the poster. Temple of Retro ToysJul 17, 2019View
ArticleBenjanimei just thought i'd preface the main reason why i wrote this article, nintendo didn't seem to do anything to celebrate the game boy's 30th anniversary, so i thought i'd talk about one of its first games that released with the handheld. thanks for reading! The Bizarre World of Super Mario LandJul 18, 2019View
