1752 | Article | Hoju Koolander | @BarryBgb Glad you had good memories at TRU. I got to work there for one holiday season and tried to keep that same sense of wonder as I was stocking the shelves and helping kids find their favorite toys. | Jan 02, 2015

1282 | Article | Vaporman87 | Uhg. Jolt! Terrible stuff. Still, I have a feeling those of us who remember it would by a 12 pack of it just for the heck of it. Now Ecto-Cooler on the other hand, I could see it having staying power IF they kept the Slimer/Ecto-Cooler branding. People having been clamoring for it for years (None moreso than Matt at DinoDrac - I think he might actually cry if they ever brought it back). Crystal Pepsi was cool, but like you said... it was basically Pepsi with no color. Nothing to write home about, but a neat gimmick for it's time. I am reminded of SNL's parody of the Crystal Pepsi schtick when they did the commercial for "Clear Gravy". LOL. Something about that was so gross... and just wrong. | These Beverages Need to Join the ReSurgence | Sep 19, 2014
1283 | Article | Hoju Koolander | Ha, I totally remember that Crystal Gravy parody commercial on SNL Vaporman. So wrong, but so hilarious. One of the few variation I tried back in the day was the Caffein Free version of Crystal Pepsi, because I wasn't allowed to have actual cola. It was pretty unique, but I wouldn't say good. | These Beverages Need to Join the ReSurgence | Sep 19, 2014
1292 | Article | pikachulover | I liked Crystal Pepsi. I really miss Fruitopia a lot. I miss 5th Avenue Seltzer too. Snapple isn't as good as it used to be. There aren't as many varieties as there used to be in the 90s. My cousins use to drink Jolt when they worked as scare actors. I've never tried it. I prefer Mt Dew. | These Beverages Need to Join the ReSurgence | Sep 20, 2014
1303 | Article | Vaporman87 | Wow. Just... wow. I LOVE this story. This is something special. I can't even come close to providing a similar moment in my own life, at least not as far as sharing a moment with a superstar. KIDS, Incorporated was a show that I caught on an on-and-off basis. There would be times that I would be flipping through channels and catch the show, watch it to it's conclusion, and mostly forget about it. I was not one of those kids who ever thought I would be anybody famous or working with anybody famous. Only my dad can say that in my family. He spent some time at a dinner with Ric Flair once, and once met Johnny Bench I believe. I... didn't LOL. I suppose if I were to pick an accomplishment in life that might have produced a similar feeling, it would be the work I did for the Masters of the Universe comic book. To actually be able to contribute even the smallest, goofiest thing for a property I grew up loving so much, was really special... even if Mattel said I had to go after 3 issues. LOL. I think those weeks/months I did that work, I felt like I was doing something pretty cool that transcended my otherwise quiet and unassuming life. Wonderful story Hoju. | KIDS, Incorporated: Dreams Come True | Sep 23, 2014
1304 | Article | NLogan | Whoa! Now that is a claim to fame! I totally forgot about Kids Incorporated until now. I so remember watching it. | KIDS, Incorporated: Dreams Come True | Sep 23, 2014
1307 | Article | NLogan | Waitaminute! I'm pretty sure I have seen articles from you here and on other retro sites for over six years. You have been sitting on this little gem for that long without a peep! Unbelievable. Why didn't you post the pics in your previous Pretenders article? On a somewhat related side-note. Martika's Toy Soldiers was the anthem/theme song to a crush I had at a summer camp at a ski resort when I was around 11-12. We listened to the tape in her room. For those who don't know Martika (Marta = Gloria on Kids Inc). <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/LvdLovAaYzM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> | KIDS, Incorporated: Dreams Come True | Sep 23, 2014 |
