2008 | Article | jkatz | Sounds like the show really left an impression on you! I can relate, a few years ago I bought the complete boxed set of Batman: The Animated Series and was finally able to watch full episodes after years and years of relying on vague memories from when I was little of how good it was. | Feb 17, 2015
2245 | Article | jkatz | I'm late to the party on this, but I read a story about Michael Ulsan (who's been involved with pretty much everything Batman related, ever) was meeting with some Kenner people, who through their contract were only allowed to make toys based of the movie and comics and apparently were out of ideas. Uslan shows them a bunch of old issues from the 50s, aka the ones with all the really crazy, outlandish stuff, and Kenner used them as inspiration for expanding their toyline. Always wondered if that's how my beloved "Capture Claw Batman" came to be.. | Kenner Action Toy Guide '94 | May 07, 2015
2246 | vhsCover | jkatz | I've actually seen this one...oy vey, what a stinker! | ASSASSINATION | May 07, 2015
2258 | Article | jkatz | Worst NES game in my opinion? Ghostbusters, hands down. Granted I've played a laughably small number of NES games and you could do "worst ever" lists like this ad infinitum because there's no shortage of subpar games from the decade- there's always some other title waiting to be rediscovered and lambasted again. But man, for some reason Ghostbusters really sticks with me; it actually traumatized me to the point where I wouldn't touch any NES games for a while! | NES: The 5 Worst Games | May 12, 2015

2311 | Article | jkatz | Awesome article, Hoju! It could've used more Valiant characters, though. And omitting Supreme (THE best comic of the 90s) is a crime punishable by death! | Five Forgotten Comic Heroes of the 90's | Jun 19, 2015
2323 | Article | jkatz | Haha, so the only footage of the show on the internet is for fetish purposes? | Vor-Tech: Undercover Conversion Squad | Jun 24, 2015
2355 | Article | jkatz | Vaporman, all I can say is if you love old cheesy b-movies (and who doesn't?), you're cheating yourself by not watching more Italian titles. It's actually quite amazing how one country can be responsible for both highbrow, arthouse cinema and some of the most shameless, trashy schlock possible. Must be something in the water... | They Called Him Trinity | Jul 06, 2015
2360 | Article | jkatz | I too remember catching Toonami in its prime, but I was probably more excited about them showing Batman Beyond! Ruroni Kenshin quickly became my favorite though. Good stuff. Definitely watch the Japanese dub of D when you get the chance, they changed a few details (eg, Doris says she'll kill herself instead of "leaving the village"). | Anime memories | Jul 08, 2015
2423 | Article | jkatz | I love the pink and glitter video boxes. It just screams 90s. | Sailor Moon Videos | Jul 25, 2015 |
