3390 | Article | Vaporman87 | That's quite a varied list of favorite library books, V. I didn't read anything but magazines and comics growing up. I hated reading. LOL. Though, when it came to our school library, they did have a few things that caught my interest. They have been mentioned in forum thread... a series of books on monsters and other cool subjects. The name of them escapes me at the moment. | Feb 28, 2016

2038 | Article | Vaporman87 | That's rough mass. To imagine such an existence coming from my own upbringing of growing up and living in the same area all my life, with the same friends all my life, it seems very difficult. But like you said, you adapt. You're made to grow up a little faster than others. Maybe you can provide a different upbringing for your own children. | Military Kids | Feb 22, 2015
4135 | Article | Hoju Koolander | That's so cool, I dig the production values on your book. I never got 24 pages in on any of my pre-teen projects. Plus a trip to the site of many massacres? Glad you made it out alive. | Haunted Hotel an 11 year old's narrative | Sep 15, 2017
5669 | Article | onipar | That's so true though, when there's nothing else to do, we nurture our imaginations all the more fervently. I remember an episode of...I dunno, maybe Sesame Street, maybe Pee Wee's Playhouse, that was all about the things you can do inside when it's rainy out. I try to drag that kind of mindset along with me no matter how many years pass. Ah, yeah, and Halloween beckoning from the rafters helps too! | The Cure | Jul 26, 2022
3432 | Article | massreality | That's some great stuff. I love The Dukes of Hazzard and have visited Cooters in both Nashville and in Gatlinburg. They got a lot of what you talked about on display along with a lot more. Its one of those shows you don't think about when it comes to merchandising, but they made a ton of stuff for it! | Random Dukes of Hazzard Merchandise | Mar 11, 2016
2166 | Article | Vaporman87 | That's something I've never done... break anything (knock on wood). My sister AND brother both had broken arms, but I've been lucky enough to not break anything (though I should have many times). I think I would have been pretty upset with the moron who swept my legs out on a balance beam. Who does that? And with regard to the reaction of those on base to your injury, that's something we sorely need back. This mentality that the everything needs to be litigated and over examined is out of hand. It was a fall on a piece of equipment. It happens. Kids get thrown off of merry-go-rounds when they make them go to fast... it happens. We're going to litigate all the fun out of life. | Rec Center Memories - Chicken Fight | Mar 27, 2015
1101 | Article | Vaporman87 | That's such an odd set up for a school schedule. I've never heard of such a thing. Typically, our schedule was traditional, as you mentioned. We would be back in school by late August, and out around the first of June, with all the typical breaks in between. The final two summers of my life were a bit different though, in that I went from attending high school to attending a college preparatory program known as Upward Bound. While I hated not being able to be home for such a long period of time, I still made many memories in the program. | Summer... What Summer | May 27, 2014
