3512ArticleHoju KoolanderThere actually seemed to be quite a bit of consistency between this comics interpretation, the cartoon pilot and the toy makers on this one, which was pretty impressive. The toys themselves were just too similar, unlike MOTU that had such varied character designs. Apr 11, 2016View

3536ArticleHoju Koolander@Vaporman87 I'm not say wood isn't useful, just that it's not technically an element. I made some awesome Pinewood Derbyshire cars back in my cub scout days. @Rick Ace Rhodes You forgot the obvious conclusion to your story, "Then I bought them all and it made my life complete." I feel like Battle Beasts are timeless. Any generation can enjoy warrior animals big enough to hide in your desk at school or office cubicle.Action Figure Comics Review: Battle BeastsApr 30, 2016View

3573ArticleHoju KoolanderAnother great Christmas tale. The disappointment your little brother experienced is heartbreaking, but it's great that he had a sibling who understood him. It's crazy to think of that limbo period of no readily available Star Wars toys. I feel a special connection to this story since Yoda was my nickname as an infant and as a result I had quite a few items of Yoda merchandise growing up. I would have gladly donated some to your brother had I known you guys back in the day.Christmas ConundrumDec 13, 2016View
3574ArticleHoju KoolanderAh, sweet Christmas memories. Nothing better than vintage 80s holiday pics. I had a GoBots binocular set I got around 85 or 86, so this really took me back.Christmas 1985 Through My Gobots Camera LensDec 13, 2016View
3575ArticleHoju KoolanderYou're video game stories are always the best. This doesn't beat your Nintendo story for strange acquisitions (no prisoners had a Genesis to sell this year, huh?) But it definitely wins for best emotional roller coaster and happy ending. Like so many of us here, I can relate on the divorced parents at holidays deal, but luckily my Mom's boyfriend's grandson was a cool kid and became one of my best friends, which helped smooth over the weirdness.A Very Sega ChristmasDec 13, 2016View
3587ArticleHoju KoolanderThis is the great American Christmas story, Mick. It's fit for a Hallmark film titled, "Son of Santa Claus". That kind of story really adds some shine to the family legacy. Thanks for sharing, it reminded me about the real spirit of the season.1986: The Year That Santa Became RealDec 16, 2016View
3604ArticleHoju KoolanderThe G.I. Joe/Dukes of Hazard crossover was an awesome image. That would have made a great episode of the cartoon. I love the wrestling recasting as well. Who was your Ric Flair? Construx were one of my favorite ways to build playsets for my action figures as well. The Mega Haul of Christmas 1986Dec 19, 2016View
