I also appreciated your comment about the promise of fantasy's being final, which made me realize that Final Fantasy is kind of a misleading title since they keep making sequels. I loved that episode where she stood up to the bulky and then ended up dating the guy for a little while. Totally unexpected turn of events, Ferguson's evil laugh was always a good time. I had heard about this pilot in the past, but never tracked it down. Thanks for posting it. I have always found it fascinating how lenient adults were back in the day letting kids wear shirts for products they were not old enough to consume. Like Spuds or the Budweiser frogs. Most specifically I remember a girl in my weight training class in high school who wore a shirt crammed with cartoon characters in "Inappropriate" positions, but because they were drawings, no teacher ever noticed.
