1844ArticleHoju Koolander@Vaporman87 "The Meowwy Wowwy Show" sounds like it would have had a place right next to Ren and Stimpy in the early 90's. Glad it is being passed on to the next generation. What kind of mischief do Wowwy, Smarts, Halfheart and Buford get into? Jan 26, 2015View
1860ArticleHoju Koolander@Vaporman87 That's sweet, I have wanted to check out Islands of Adventure for years. Hope you have a great trip. @pikachulover During High School I once "danced for candy" at one of the shops in the Citywalk, it was really an awkward attempt at flirting with one of the cute sales girls. I didn't get her number, but I got the candy! @Fulton4V Yeah, BTTF was a great experience, I'm glad they put the videos on the Blu-ray release of the films. Any word on whether The Simpsons ride that replaced it is any good?Universal Studios Hollywood '92Jan 30, 2015View
1862ArticleHoju KoolanderMost people run into those types of "Modeling Schools" at malls from what I hear. It's so weird that the school sanctioned such an obvious cash-grab. Do you remember those TV ads that ran on daytime TV for the Barbizon School of Modeling way back when? They usually came on right after a commercial for Survival auto insurance with the guys playing poker, "Are you insured?" "Yes." "By Survival?" "No." "I can't take that bet." So cheesy, cracks me up.Model StudentJan 30, 2015View
1863ArticleHoju KoolanderFun topic. "Team Wolf" is pretty much the best thing ever, especially because it was your Mom's mislabeling that perpetuated the error. Makes me chuckle in a big way.Movie MisunderstandingsJan 30, 2015View
1881ArticleHoju KoolanderGreat batch of gifts and photos. I totally had a Boglin that I used to flip inside out as well, I think I eventually stretched his arms apart (like into pieces) and that was the end of my creature. I always thought Dino Riders were cool, but not enough to demand one for a birthday for some reason. Also, did you not know what a birthday was or just had no concept of time at that age?Surprise Party! : 1987Feb 03, 2015View
1891ArticleHoju Koolander@Vaporman87 That's The Simpsons Sing the Blues, my friend. I have it on CD and Cassette! I often find myself singing "Look At All Those Idiots" or "Deep, Deep Trouble" to this day. You didn't watch The Simpsons? Are you a communist? j/k What were you watching instead?Simpsons Illustrated and 90's Magazine AdsFeb 05, 2015View
1892ArticleHoju KoolanderNice story, kept me in suspense wondering what the thumb thing was, then no explanation! Scholars will debate it for centuries. If anything I think your brother would go to hell for tricking you into that. Seems like rather devilish behavior to me. But if that was the case, every kid who ever said, "Psych!" would probably be feeling the poke of a pitchfork as well. This Is Why I'm Going To HellFeb 05, 2015View
1924ArticleHoju Koolander@vkimo "Husky" would have been more acceptable to me, now that I think about it. It's got a softer feel to it. @Vaporman87 I think everyone had that fat friend they picked on, that's why I wrote the article. So I think you're off the hook. I just happened to BE the fat kid, but I realize now that kids are just dumb and can't think of much else to say. "Your ability to style your hair is sub-par" just doesn't have the same ring as, "Hey, Chubb-o". I had a friend who also used my weight as a source of comedy in our audio cassette recordings of fake morning shows and sketches, needless to say I found other partners pretty quickly. In retrospect his weak comic insults were kind of pointless, since it's not a visual medium. Being The Fat KidFeb 09, 2015View
1968ArticleHoju Koolander@jkatz I always saw that one at the bookstore, but I opted for The Simpsons Family Album and Bart Simpson's Guide To Life. To your comment it definitely wasn't for kids, but anything animated will catch the eyes of a child, while adults don't give it a second glance. So it was inevitably going to be a favorite in the schoolyard.Simpsons Illustrated and 90's Magazine AdsFeb 11, 2015View
1989ArticleHoju KoolanderI totally thought you were going to get away with it and that Jessie would help you escape out the window or something. At least you weren't there to steal his games. I had a "friend" who did that that I wish I could have seen smacked with a 2x4! Uh, what was the premise of Normy's Beach Babe O Rama? Definitely never heard of that one.How to ruin a friendship without really tryingFeb 12, 2015View
