5317 | Article | Lazlo Knight | When I was a kid I had a dream I was Superman but I had to fight the blob and my hands would always do no damage to the blob as I tried to punch it. I’d wake up screaming and punching. It was a reoccurring one too. A cousin of mine suggested I try to freeze the blob with my breath (since I was Superman in the nightmare). I tried this the next time and shattered the blob. Never had the nightmare again. | Oct 29, 2020
1780 | Article | pikachulover | When I think of what some of my female realities in the 1980s were wearing bear in mind I was only really aware for the latter part of the decade around '86 or so. The 2 things that really stand out for me personally were huge glasses and big curly hair. | Women's Fashion of the 80s | Jan 12, 2015
5272 | Article | retrocrunch | When i think of Bullies, it always reminds me of the movie My Bodyguard. great movie and it highlights so well the pain of being bullied. Luckily, the boy in the film had someone to protect him, and even he was bullied. | Being Bullied | Sep 06, 2020
4282 | Article | Hoju Koolander | When I saw the title of your article I immediately thought of the random "Mickey" car scene from Wayne's World. I have to admit that there are a lot of songs on your list where I never even noticed the hand claps and now I'll enjoy going back and listening for them. | Top 80s Songs with Handclaps in them | Feb 13, 2018
2508 | Article | Benjanime | when I had my short time of being with you guys I kinda wanted to read a few of what was in your collection, but seeing as how I was on a deadline to find a job I never really got around to it. great job for a first article, looking forward to seeing longer length ones in the future :) great job bro. | The Cereal Box in the Closet | Aug 12, 2015
5419 | Article | Benjanime | when i first saw bellywashers popping up in stores i was like "is it a new type of shampoo soap?" then i looked closer on the bottle lol. this took me back to the retrojunk article "foods my mouth misses" by cosgrove. | 12 Retro Snacks & Drinks I want to see Come Back | May 10, 2021
4815 | Article | Vaporman87 | When I first played Gex, it was on the 3DO. I thought he might become the 3DO’s “Mario/Sonic”. Instead the system died and Gex moved on... then died also. lol | The Playstation Experience - Part 1 | Jan 28, 2019
5373 | Article | Julie | When I first had the Game Boy Color, this came along with Pokémon Yellow and Speedy Gonzales, and a bundle from Nyko with the light worm and a simplified version of the Shock 'N' Rock containing only the extended battery, and also its wall charger. The Game Boy Camera was a legit object of desire for me when I first saw it in the magazines of the time. So awesome to remember that time when I discovered Pokémon Yellow and became a fan of that unforgettable fun! Luckily we still have handhelds today, like the Nintendo Switch, and why not, all the others handhelds too! I love all of this and those charismatic articles, whimsical and written with care. I love you, my @Benjanime. ❤❤ | The world of Game Boy Color Accessories | Jan 20, 2021
1938 | Article | Vaporman87 | When I finally took a serious interest in becoming a member of the site and contributing, probably one of the biggest turn-offs was the idea of a "Back Page". It made sense to want the best content out front for visitors to see, but it alienated people who had already made the commitment to be an active part of the site. I didn't feel like the trade off was worth it. Perhaps having that project you worked hard on getting sent to the back page made you want to work harder next time... but it could equally make someone discouraged or angry. You could say the same with regard to having ratings at all, but at least everyone gets an equal chance to have their memories shared... which is ultimately what drives anyone to bother sharing them... because they want them known and read and remembered. | Remembering RetroJunk | Feb 10, 2015
1987 | Article | Vaporman87 | When did Mr. Pibb go extinct? It was still in my area up until recently (I hadn't checked lately). Unless you mean the old formula. In 2001 the cinnamon formula became Pibb Xtra. | Things Are Going To Be OK | Feb 12, 2015 |
