3375 | Article | Hoju Koolander | Sanrio items were so exotic, parents just didn't get it. Not being a girl I never heard of Minnie N Me, but it's so of that era. I can't imagine giving away something so precious and new at that age. | Feb 20, 2016
2533 | Article | Hoju Koolander | Saturdays were all about TV for me (but then again, so was every other day). X-Men, Spider-Man and Batman on FOX Kids, then switch over to ABC for Cow-Boys of Moo-Mesa or The Addams Family cartoon, maybe try out an episode of Saved By The Bell: The New Class on NBC, before switching back to FOX for WMAC Masters and getting my wrestling fix from WWF Superstars. If I did go outside it was just a trip to my favorite comic book store, that was the true Saturday destination. After all, you needed an hour or more to browse all the back issues. | A Mid-90's Saturday With c_b_f | Aug 16, 2015

1462 | Article | Mr Magic | Saw was quite an experience. It made me rethink the horror genre. Can't believe it's been 10 years since it was released. Time just flies by. Whoosh! | Benjanime's Top Ten Halloween Movie Picks | Oct 20, 2014

1419 | Article | NLogan | Scary stories to tell in the dark are the best. My favorite was the wendigo. You need to track down the full length story by algernon blackwood. Teddy Roosevelt also wrote one about the wendigo. Scary stories were an excellent beginning for kids to look at ghost stories from literature that was nearly a century old. I went to the Hollywood wax museum around 1993. I remember there being exhibits for Elvira, Norman Bates from psycho, the crew of the original star trek enterprise, Clint Eastwood, Tom selleck from magnum P.I., red Skelton, laurel and hardy, snd Marilyn Monroe. | Scary Stories from the Schoolyard | Oct 13, 2014

4047 | Article | Hoju Koolander | Scooby-Doo ruled my pre-school years, but Hong Kong Phooey was always an odball treat along with Dyno-Mutt. Apparently I was tight with Hanna-Barbera's canine crew. | My Five All Time Favorite Hanna Barbera Toons | Aug 09, 2017
321 | Article | Simply Eighties | Screech was the only decent character in Save By The Bell. The others were too good looking for their own good and seemed too self-obsessed. I agree about TMNT, there was way too much merchandise being sold! Captain Planet was patronizing, and as much as I agree that the environment needs to be respected, we didn't need this nonsense! | Overrated shows from my childhood | Feb 13, 2013 |
