2477Articlekstrom22I'm so glad to see my own experiences were shared by others from different times and places. And so grateful at the response to my own little slice of history. Now I live in Arizona: no real "trees" around here for tree-houses, but I'm too lazy to build one anyway. There is a new playground right across the street; it has a tower, tunnels, a true modern castle. Someday, if I have kids, they'll be the kings and queens.  Aug 07, 2015View
2488Articlekstrom22I love this article, and I love the (remaining) true and old arcades. The one nearest my house has what I can only describe as an SNES store demo. You can play either Super Mario World, The Addams Family, or F-Zero. It's killer. It seems like all Arcades have that same "dizzy patterned carpet," why do you think that is? Here's a possibly controversial question, which are better, token-exchange machines, or quarter change-maker machines? My brother and I were always on different sides of the debate...The Mall ArcadeAug 08, 2015View
2527Articlekstrom22Stewart Copeland also had a hand in another beloved franchise, though this was video games: he did the music for the original Spyro the Dragon Trilogy. I love how descriptive Japanese titles can be. The Japanese title for "Despicable Me" is "Mysterious Thief Gru’s Moon Theft," and the title of "Being John Malkovich" is "John Malkovich's Hole"...errr Fun article, I love learning about things from my time and earlier.Little Known Facts About 25 of Your Favorite 80's Cartoons!Aug 16, 2015View
1084ArticleDoctorRyanI have something to admit. I actually like the Masters of the Universe movie. Yeah, I admit they leave a lot of things out from the cartoon but for a stand alone story, I thought it was very cheesy, cool if that makes sense. 1092ArticleDoctorRyanYeah, I was pretty disappointed with it. But then again, I always try to recommend for people to see movies first hand and form their own opinion. That's what makes movies so great!! The discussions and debating that come from it.The Island of Dr. Moreau (1977)May 20, 2014View

1096ArticleDoctorRyanI have always loved rainy days, even as an adult. Those were my "gaming days" when I would fire up my NES for some 8-bit action. Today it's games like Baldur's Gate and Diablo II. I guess that's another thing I brought from my childhood.Remembering Rainy DaysMay 21, 2014View
