1029ArticlemickyarberI also added a few things to this version of the article as an exclusive for RetroDaze. Didn't want to do just a straight repost. Mar 05, 2014View
1035ArticlemickyarberGood idea for an article, and well written. The Worst list, I fully agree. Slight rearrangement of the Best items for my personal taste, but the list as a whole I agree with. While I personally like the taste of the candy cigarettes, it's poor form to give them to kids. Good stuff.Top 5 Best and Worst things to get in...Mar 07, 2014View
2350ArticlemickyarberI remember all of this. THe early 90's was my wheel house when it came to comics. I shamelessly admit that I was part of the speculator boom, lol. I loved all the Ultraverse titles and was a big fan of being on board with a new universe that I thought was going to last. :( The Ray was a good title with Quesada on board in the early issues. I had that first issue of Nightwatch, but never read it. I bought it specifically for the speculator aspect. Good read.Five Forgotten Comic Heroes of the 90'sJul 05, 2015View
2356ArticlemickyarberI remember watching the Trinity movies right after VCRs became popular. My uncle (who was my neighbor) had a VCR, and when the first video store opened in out little town, he was renting a movie every other day or so. My cousin and I watched them during the long summer days with him, and Trinity movies were some we watched that summer. I thought they were good then, but have not watched them since. I'll have to give them another look now. Thanks for the reminder. Good article choice. They Called Him TrinityJul 06, 2015View
2381Articlemickyarber@Hoju...you're right, I was quite the dreamer. Those are just the ones that I really wanted and aksed for on many occasions. There were so many more things I wanted as well. Maybe I'll have to revisit the topic and go through some more "wants" that I never got.Yesterdays: Things I DIDN'T Have As A KidJul 11, 2015View
2382ArticlemickyarberI don't remember when I first realized Santa wasn't real, but I do remember the after effect. I can remember feeling closer to my parents once I knew it was them spending hard earned cash for the things under the tree, and I think that helped me develop a deeper sense of appreciation for all kinds of things. Fun article.1990 - The Year Santa DiedJul 11, 2015View
2383ArticlemickyarberI didn't get into MTV until the 90's, and I jumped in head first. One of the features I really liked was when they would do a block of videos....4 In a Row I think they called it. Four straight videos without any interruptions. I loved Aeon Flux, and was a big fan of Beavis and Butthead too. And one of the highlights of my year was when they would do the spring break week. Great tv right there. A really nostalgic article. Great job.MTV: The 90'sJul 12, 2015View
2385ArticlemickyarberLove this article. Like everyone else, I wanted a tree house to play in, but my problem was lack of trees. Now, my daughters are wanting one. Guess I should see about getting started and maybe live vicariously through them. That or make it sturdy enough for Pops to get up there and play with them. Hope to see more from you.Castles of YesteryearJul 12, 2015View
2387Articlemickyarber@massreality..that's pretty cool. My younger cousin got them, and same thing happened. He tried to get into real drums, but wasn't very good, nut it got him into music. WHen the drumming didn't work out, he learned guitar instead and has done well with it in the years since.Yesterdays: Things I DIDN'T Have As A KidJul 13, 2015View
2406ArticlemickyarberI used to read Wizard from front to back as well, but didn't start picking it up until issue #16. I gave them all away in 2004, buthave recently been picking up early issues of it from ebay. Still looking for more.1993 Comic Book Ads from Wizard MagazineJul 16, 2015View
