| 1031 | Article | MissM | Yeah, Rita did have an unusual sense of fashion. lol I guess that is what happens when one lives on the moon. They get a little behind on what works. The Evil Space Aliens were always kind of foolish, which is sad, because they do look fearsome. The sort of joke with Rita was that she would always have this mini meltdown towards those she thought were not doing their job of evil correctly. As for snarling kindly, I am not sure. | 1032 | Article | MissM | Yeah, he was a bit short changed with this article. I never had him and really all I knew of him from the vintage toy was the commercial. I liked the idea of him being created into all these parts. Glimmer was a fun toy and I loved reading about your memories with your sister. I liked rooted hair too, but I was never one for brushing it. I hated brushing doll hair and I love hair! I was always annoyed that the hair would never look the same as before. But there was something also realistic about rooted hair that made the toys seem more real. I don't know if that makes any sense. | 1038 | Article | MissM | pikachulover- I am so glad you collected these too! I found a loose ballerina that was from my earlier collection this past summer and it was so much fun to find it. I feel like originally I had a large set and a smaller set, because I know there was a random assortment of the rock ones, a gym one, and the ballerina. The sets from those pictures were found so cheap too! I love these. I also love that you brought one to art class for an assignment. How cool is that?! Vaporman- I agree. I think these were probably the most successful immovable tiny figures since the green army men. it was nice to see a line aimed at girls too, with so many different facets. I think I'd be groaning if it was a straight reboot, but a sequel with the original cast is something I'd really get into. echidna- That is so cool, I'm sorry that it didn't come together. I remember my brother liking the Oreo O's cereal in the late 90's, but I wasn't interested in breakfast at that time. I bet they were really good though. And Vaporman, every time I do find myself drinking Tab, I feel my insides die just a little. lol It is like soda made with Sweet 'n Low. This article was perfect at capturing that feel of the time. I remember so many debates in the cafeteria about the merits of Street Fighter 2 or Mortal Kombat. | 1655 | Article | MissM | @Hoju Koolander I got it at a Book Stop or Walden books. It was in the magazine section. I have it somewhere, I will look for it and take a picture. It came out around the time of the release of MK 3. It had a break down of the characters, the creation of the game, the phenomenon of the game also with some details about the live tour. I must have read it over and over. One of the funny things is that under each character profile, the characters answer questions like favorite food, favorite book, and one of them was like, who do you get mistaken for and Sonya Blade says She-Ra.
