Sorry to say I only grew to be 5'7". When I was kid I wanted to be on a Gladiator on the show. I'm surprised you didn't write about the kids' show Gladiators 2000. I liked that show. They would teach me about proper hygiene and nutrition. Do anybody remember when it was spoofed in Eek the Cat? Sharky watched a show called Patriotic Warriors and his favorite was named Platinum. I also view that decade as a golden age of live-action television. I does have the hairy forearms, but I think you need somebody taller and much more muscular. Nobody perfect comes to mind, but maybe you go with David Hasselhoff, Chuck Norris or even cast against the norm and go Carl Weathers.
