ArticleHoju KoolanderStick Sticky made my 90's summers memorable as well. I always wanted the spinner to land on Salute Your Shorts. Apr 07, 2016View
VideoblueluigiIn my personal opinion, I feel like Season 1 was the best season of the show. I didn't care for the show's transition from the 1940s to the then-modern year in the 70s after Season 2.Wonder Woman Season One IntroApr 11, 2016View
ArticleVaporman87Great review of the comic series, Hoju. I think my problem with most comic book series spawned from a toy line that ALSO had a cartoon series, was that I didn't like being confused with all the different character and story elements. Many times you would have pretty big differences in the cartoon and the comics. Origin stories would differ, character attributes would differ, and character personalities might not always be consistent between them. This was really an issue with the He-Man and the MOTU line. The mini-comic world greatly differed from the cartoon world. There were so many differences that you just had to decide which it was that you were going to base your playtime off of.Action Figure Comics Review - VisionariesApr 11, 2016View
ArticleVaporman87Sectaurs had a cool enough novelty going for it, with the hand puppet insects and the cool character designs. But in the end they just felt like a toy line full of Buzz-Off's relatives. Which really isn't that enticing... no offense to Buzz-Off. It is nice to see so much effort go into creating worlds and interesting characters for the line. That is something that was still a novel idea at the time. Most companies would have settled for half baked and overused plots and stories. Nice to see that such a thing didn't happen here.Action Figure Comics Review - SectaursApr 11, 2016View
ArticleVaporman87A lot of my exposure to Star Wars in my early days came in the form of merchandise. I don't remember ever watching the movies until around high school, by which time the films themselves would have been over and done with for about four or five years. It was in high school that my Star Wars nerd friend forced me to watch all the films on VHS tape... many times over. From there, I felt more of a connection to the story and the characters. I still wasn't a big Star Wars nerd, but I cared enough about it to collect a few movie related things here and there. Probably my favorite Star Wars merchandise was the Super Nintendo game series. Those games really did a good job of capturing what made the movies great.Star Wars: The Past AwakensApr 11, 2016View
Articleechidna64I agree, video games like Rogue Squadron and later with KOTOR and Battlefront were greatly influential in my love for Star Wars. Star Wars: The Past AwakensApr 11, 2016View
ArticleHoju KoolanderThere actually seemed to be quite a bit of consistency between this comics interpretation, the cartoon pilot and the toy makers on this one, which was pretty impressive. The toys themselves were just too similar, unlike MOTU that had such varied character designs.Action Figure Comics Review - VisionariesApr 11, 2016View
ArticlecaptainzorikhWomen never looked batter than they did in the 1980's/ One detail you missed was BELTS! Somehow those hip-riding belts inspired by punk fashions seemed to serve no purpose but a) draw attention to those sexy, curved hips in tight acid-washed jeans and b) when cinching a loose blouse or shirt, managed to cause that blouse or shirt to drape a female figure in such a way as to inspire the imagination of the perfect female figure (at least for me).Women's Fashion of the 80sApr 13, 2016View
