2362ArticleBenjanimejkatz I'll try to catch up to it eventually. @Vaporman87 have you read the akira manga? each volume is enormous and has more than what the movie adaptation could fit in. I unfortunately haven't read them all yet. Jul 08, 2015View
2361ArticleVaporman87My introduction to Japanimation was probably Voltron. Aside from that, RoboTech, Akira, and Pokemon.Anime memoriesJul 08, 2015View
2360ArticlejkatzI too remember catching Toonami in its prime, but I was probably more excited about them showing Batman Beyond! Ruroni Kenshin quickly became my favorite though. Good stuff. Definitely watch the Japanese dub of D when you get the chance, they changed a few details (eg, Doris says she'll kill herself instead of "leaving the village").Anime memoriesJul 08, 2015View
2359ArticlepikachuloverI would always send away for Koolaid points stuff and occasionally enter contests, but I usually never won anything. Retro-graphic Evidence: Xardion Lives!Jul 07, 2015View

2356ArticlemickyarberI remember watching the Trinity movies right after VCRs became popular. My uncle (who was my neighbor) had a VCR, and when the first video store opened in out little town, he was renting a movie every other day or so. My cousin and I watched them during the long summer days with him, and Trinity movies were some we watched that summer. I thought they were good then, but have not watched them since. I'll have to give them another look now. Thanks for the reminder. Good article choice. They Called Him TrinityJul 06, 2015View
2355ArticlejkatzVaporman, all I can say is if you love old cheesy b-movies (and who doesn't?), you're cheating yourself by not watching more Italian titles. It's actually quite amazing how one country can be responsible for both highbrow, arthouse cinema and some of the most shameless, trashy schlock possible. Must be something in the water...They Called Him TrinityJul 06, 2015View
2354ArticleVaporman87Wow. I've never heard of these actors or these movies, but to discover how popular they were even into the 90's boggles my mind. They're like the David Hasselhoffs of Italy! I've watched a few movies out of Italy, but they were mostly dreadfully awful sci-fi schlock starring Antonio Sabato (not Jr., but his dad). I didn't even know why they were called "Spaghetti Westerns" until just now. Is that sad? LOLThey Called Him TrinityJul 06, 2015View
2353ArticleVaporman87I was probably not as big a "mail-in" nut as you, but I know that I was always ecstatic when something arrived in the mail box that I knew was the result of my efforts to get such items. Typically from cereal boxes, but sometimes from toys and other products. The hardest part was the wait. You would be so excited for something, mail out the necessary documents, and then expect your prize to arrive an hour later. It didn't take long for me to simply forget I had even made the effort at all. Then, like six weeks later, there would be the prize. That excitement would instantly come back, and just make may day.
