ArticlepikachuloverI was a strange age in both sides of the family. I'm the youngest on my mom's side. My 2nd cousin wasn't born until I was about 7. My cousins on my mom's side usually didn't bother me. They'd just put on a cartoon or something and I watch it and behave. As for the party presents. I'd just play with them and forget too except the CPK dolls. Dec 11, 2015View
ArticleMarshMellowI would have loved to receive a Jasmine doll in my class's gift exchange. For some reason we had a "random household item" gift exchange in fourth grade, and I ended up with a dishrag.A Mature Gift ExchangeDec 11, 2015View
ArticleShaddam Corrino IVThis article has me nostalgic for the '90's and all of the toys from movies that were made, and also wishing that there were toys based on the new movies like Avengers: Age Of Ultron (all that we got from that movie-well, I got- were the Hot Wheels cars), The Martian, Jurassic World, Mad Max: Fury Road, Ant-Man, and a few others. At least we have toys based on Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, but I would've loved to see a set of toys from The Martian (The Lander, The Hab, action figures of Mark Watney and the rest of the crew of the Ares.) Where are they? @Vaporman87: There were bad-guy (and gal) figures from Batman-The Animated Series (Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, Two-Face, Clayface, the Joker, Penguin, Catwoman, Bane, and Mr. Freeze), as well as ones of the Creeper and several others. I'd love to see a new set of Shadow action figures as well.Kenner Action Toy Guide '94Dec 11, 2015View
Articlekidcoffee@NLogan I was going to agree with Vaporman that she would probably have multiple heart attacks at once, but the more I think about it the more I'm convinced that she's actually holed up in her basement secretly playing Grand Theft Auto. She's finally found an outlet to channel her rage and she loves it. @Vaporman87 Thank you for the compliments.Perfect GameDec 11, 2015View

ArticleMissMReally nice article! I've been meaning to catch up on your articles and I have a lot of fun reading ahead of me, but this was really great. Personally my favorites are the Christmas Vacation tree and the tree from a Charlie Brown Christmas. Both really great trees and stories. I am fond of the Gremlins tree. I also remember being traumatized with the Simpsons episode where Bart burns down the tree, I just had these horror visions of catching trees on fire. This article is going to have me thinking of more Christmas trees in pop culture now. Really fun!5 Most Iconic Movie Christmas TreesDec 12, 2015View
ArticleVaporman87Superb read. Simply epic. There is so much nostalgic goodness just dripping from this, it makes ME want to go back to YOUR childhood and relive them one more time. LOL It's funny that one side of your family had 14 children, considering my mom came from a family of 13. They sure did pump out the kids back in their day, huh? I like that you include all the ways that you are incorporating some old traditions from your childhood into your own children's lives. That is something I can completely relate to, as I do the same thing. Sure, you get enjoyment out of continuing tradition, but you're mostly seeking to give your children the same joy that you KNOW they will experience in the same way you experienced it. There is no doubt that Christmas holds a special place in your heart. Thanks for sharing this amazing walk through your Christmas memories. How I Remember ChristmasDec 12, 2015View
ArticleVaporman87Oh, and I meant to mention that Tom Wopat and John Schneider did a Christmas album together too. I keep hearing songs from that album on SiriusXM Holiday Traditions (Ch. 18).How I Remember ChristmasDec 12, 2015View
ArticleVaporman87Great memory to share V. Thanks for that. It warms the heart! We do indeed make sure to take part on "Angel" Tree giving during this season. Sometimes it's as simple as a tag on one at the local grocer. Other times, it's church that is handling the exchange. Never have I heard of actually inviting the recipient to dinner at home. That is extremely generous, and that individual is truly a kind soul. I hope that one day you're able to find that family, and offer thanks to them. Christmas YuleogyDec 12, 2015View
ArticleHoju Koolander@NLogan The Gremlins tree was totally in the running, but didn't quite fit the "spreading holiday cheer" vibe I was going for. Totally could have put Corey wearing his costume in there though. Nice one! @MissM, I hope you have fun catching up. I have been enjoying your podcasting appearances.5 Most Iconic Movie Christmas TreesDec 12, 2015View
