3369ArticlevkimoGreat memories, and I envy you being able to enjoy such times. Growing up in the suburbs didn't let me get close to nature. Feb 18, 2016View

3565Articlevkimo@micky- My wife told me about that shortly after I told her about the article. Although in this case it was a Hooters restaurant doing the prank as a sales contest, the waitress sued though. I guess the confusion for Yoda and pickups isn't ungrounded, which should cheer him up hahaChristmas ConundrumDec 12, 2016View
3566ArticlevkimoThanks for sharing. It's very poignant how video games help kids find refuge at times. Ever since the mid 80s the quintessential game console has taken the number on spot on most boys wishlists. I feel the magic is gone on todays consoles. I remember getting a Xbox 360 and spending 20 minutes to set up a profile and download the latest firmware, kind of killed the excitement A Very Sega ChristmasDec 12, 2016View
3577Articlevkimo@echidna Grape Escape is so sadistic looking back now haha. That's funny you mention Aliens, my brother had this weird thing where all he could write was "Aliens" he would scribble it everywhere. I always thought it was impressive since he was like 4 years old and could spell it correctly hahaChristmas ConundrumDec 14, 2016View
3583ArticlevkimoSweet article Mickey, got me right in the feels! Your dad seems like the genuine article. The fact that he did so much for others speaks to the real spirit of Christmas. Sadly the holidays bring a lot of pain and emphasis on the less fortunate, but that's the chance to help out. I enjoyed the formatting and font change, made for a nice comfy read. Those toy sets look so awesome. I wasn't even there for most of the 80s toys and feel they had the most appeal. It was like the marketing dept back then was on a whole other level. Looking forward to the next piece!1986: The Year That Santa Became RealDec 15, 2016View
3596ArticlevkimoNow this is what I've been waiting for, a great sampling of retro toys! Those playsets always looked so bland without stickers or figures and I was always kind of bummed when no figures were included. These were a little before my time but I definitely had the hand me downs later on. Nice work again, your article formatting is getting cleaner by the minute! The Mega Haul of Christmas 1986Dec 18, 2016View
3603ArticlevkimoI'm still reading this but I had to make a quick chime on the Neapolitan ice cream, that was a staple in our house, I personally never cared for it but would also scoop out the chocolate only side while my dad just plain devoured itNLogan's Christmas at Grandma's HouseDec 19, 2016View
3611ArticlevkimoYou disguised learning into a fun to read article, darn you! Haha nice write up I prefer Odin Claus delivering gifts on his eight legged steed for sure. "Odin got me a trebuchet for Christmas!" The History of ChristmasDec 20, 2016View
