2078ArticleVaporman87I too was forced into T-Ball. I remember very little about it though. My only real memories are of the field and our uniforms, and of a teammate having his hand get swollen and blue from being hit with a pitch. That pretty much made me want out. That you could get injured. I wanted no part of an injury. LOL Now, my Cub Scouts days... I remember more about that. T-Ball though... it's all lost in a thick fog. Mar 16, 2015View
4785ArticleDalek227I too think that deep down, despite how I was often just trying to blend in, a part of me WANTED to stand out a bit. A part of me craved a little positive attention and being a little "shocking" in a not physically harmful way made people laugh and maybe that's part of the reason.Being An 80's and 90's Fat Kid Part 3Jan 09, 2019View
2360ArticlejkatzI too remember catching Toonami in its prime, but I was probably more excited about them showing Batman Beyond! Ruroni Kenshin quickly became my favorite though. Good stuff. Definitely watch the Japanese dub of D when you get the chance, they changed a few details (eg, Doris says she'll kill herself instead of "leaving the village").Anime memoriesJul 08, 2015View
3389ArticleVaporman87I too missed out on the Pokemon craze. I actually had a lot of difficulty understanding it's appeal for a while. I would see and hear about this craze, and just scratch my head. I just didn't see the appeal of it. The same went for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Both seemed really overblown to me. I would be lying if I said I now understand it. I don't. LOL. However, I think I have a better grasp of their appeal to those who did enjoy them, and still do.20 years of Pok'emon: Looking back to the franchise as an adultFeb 28, 2016View
4459ArticleVaporman87I too hate that there is so much about our trips to Disney that are quickly forgotten. I think of how often I have taken our kids there, and memories just kind of blend together to the point that I don't even know for sure which kids were around to experience them. But at least they will have those memories forever. That's all that matters.Disney Days: My Trips to Walt Disney WorldJun 18, 2018View
3123ArticleDirtyD79I too had to learn cursive back in third grade. Ironically I was much better at writing in cursive than I was at printing. I'm not trying to brag. Believe me, my printing was atrocious as a kid and it's only slightly better all these years later. Nowadays the only time I really need to write in cursive is if I'm signing some forms or something. Honestly I'd be surprised if any elementary schools still teach it these days.Cursive Curse Nov 18, 2015View
1069ArticleVaporman87I too greatly enjoyed Garfield and Friends, though when I watched it it was airing on network television. I was not aware that U.S. Acres was a comic strip by Davis that inspired the second half of each show. Thanks for that info. I never watched much of Rugrats or Hey Arnold!, so I can't really comment on them. I do know that their popularity (especially Rugrats) was readily apparent, even if you never watched a single episode. They were everywhere at one time. Lots of commercialization. I think my favorite SpongeBob episode is the one where SpongeBob meets Mermaidman and Barnacle Boy. You have to love Ernest Borgnine and Tim Conway! My daughter was a big Blues Clues fan when she was around three years old. She hasn't seen an episode of it for a few years now, but I feel a bit nostalgic for it, only because of the enjoyment we got out of it together.
