3379	Article	pikachulover	I was a huge fan of SSSS. It was so wacky and low budget. I even had a small Servo figure. Syd was my favorite character. I used to say my little cousin acted like Tanker. Too bad hardly anybody in my 5th grade watched the show. By 6th grade at my school it was "uncool" to like any of those shows. Actually there was a double standard in 5th grade about those shows it was ok for boys to like them, but not girls because they were too "mature" to like them.		Feb 23, 2016

I didn't often get to watch Fox Kids on Saturday mornings, but watching the block's afternoon lineup during the weekdays was my daily ritual after getting home from school. 4115	Article	vkimo	I was a freshman as well, my mom told me what happened as I woke up. It didn't register until I got to school and every class was just people staring, jaws open, at the TV screens. Teachers were crying, it was intense. I always felt we should have built the world's highest skyscraper on ground zero's foundation as a sign to the world that the US was still number one. 4882	Article	Hoju Koolander	I was a big Wizard reader and subscriber from issue 7 on, so this article was right up my alley. I actually got a Grendel 1/2 comic as a birthday present one year from a cheapskate classmate just passing along his Wizard insert. I do have to disagree with your claim that the magazine showed favoritism toward Marvel and DC though. Especially in the early days the staff acted like the books from Image and Valiant were the pinnacle of graphic storytelling along with other indie books like Shi, Bone, Hellboy and Lady Death. It was only after the early 90s boom ended and the "Big Two" were back to being the main providers of comics to the mainstream that they got more coverage. At least that was my experience. Maybe next time, I'll use some black and white drawings if I get short on time. I'm so glad you like it. You should see it full size. Some of the character is lost here, like scaling a record cover down to CD size. You feel you know what I experienced...really the best compliment I can receive. That is my goal as a writer.
