2651ArticlekidcoffeeI wish I could take credit for the idea, but this was all my best friend. He was definitely the mad scientist of the two of us, but now knowing a few of his secrets I am pretty sure I can muster up a recreation. I only wish I was able to hang on to some of my old Joes, but I am pretty sure I can still pick them up cheap at Dollar General. Also now I have an excuse to pick up more candy pumpkins, as if I really needed one. Mellowcreme MadnessSep 15, 2015View
2134ArticleVaporman87I wish I could say that I shared in these experiences of shock in old games. I found out about Samus before I had even played one level in the game itself, thanks for my friend who had owned the game long before me. Aerith's death was something that magazines and my brother were making a big deal of, but I was not an RPG nerd, so I did not know or care about that. The fatalities of MK didn't shock me, as I had performed several in the arcades prior to getting the games on home consoles. I would say that, if I could pick one thing from an old game that shocked me, it would be hearing the sound of a voice coming from a game for the first time ever. B-17 bomber for the Intellivision was the first game to hold that honor for me. The first time I heard those words uttered from that cartridge made my eyes open wide. 5435ArticleVaporman87I wish I could say I had a "corner store" nearby growing up. But I did not. I lived at the top of a hill on a dead-end road. The only thing nearby was the skating rink. But after college and a few years of working in the family business, I moved to Rutland and here we had a real, functioning department store. It carried about anything you could want... groceries, tools, had a deli... it was pretty great. It had been open for more than 100 years when it finally closed (thanks to slowing sales and the appearance of not one, but two new dollar stores... Dollar General and Family Dollar). I won't forget that old-timey feel of the interior of the store. I had heard tales of people 40 or 50 years ago bringing in their grocery lists, and clerks going around picking out the items listed for the customer. There was at one time a bank in the store, and the old vault remained there (becoming a little back office of sorts). And hey... it's where I first found Dutch and Hamato, so... there's that. 4839ArticleVaporman87I wish I could remember all the valentines I received from classmates through the years. I can barely remember any at all. We received valentines from everyone each year, as opposed to just one classmate.Valentines Over the YearsFeb 07, 2019View
4987ArticleVaporman87I wish I could have tried a McDLT now that I'm an adult who could appreciate such things. Maybe one day they'll bring that back. Retro Fast Food That is No More 2: I'm Lovin' It EditionJul 28, 2019View

603Articleshakin steakI will keep an eye out for DiTillo episodes. I mainly recognized Dini from his credits on Batman TAS. First time I saw his name on the opening shot of a He-Man episode I was like "Holy ****!" I think that was my first clue that there is some quality in there. I've watched a few episodes of Bravestarr; so far it hasn't really grabbed me. Same with Ghostbusters.New Eyes on He-Man and She-RaMay 03, 2013View
5191ArticleVaporman87I will confess, this is one of those films from the '80s that I have yet to watch. However, during this lockdown situation I have been scratching a few films like this off my list (most recently 'Dune') so I may finally get around to enjoying this one. I love the car design.
