3907ArticleOldSchool80sI was a big fan of Saved By The Bell the whole way. I think I saw every episode multiple times. Also not familiar with any of the shows you mentioned except a vague memory of California Dreams. May 27, 2017View
4882ArticleHoju KoolanderI was a big Wizard reader and subscriber from issue 7 on, so this article was right up my alley. I actually got a Grendel 1/2 comic as a birthday present one year from a cheapskate classmate just passing along his Wizard insert. I do have to disagree with your claim that the magazine showed favoritism toward Marvel and DC though. Especially in the early days the staff acted like the books from Image and Valiant were the pinnacle of graphic storytelling along with other indie books like Shi, Bone, Hellboy and Lady Death. It was only after the early 90s boom ended and the "Big Two" were back to being the main providers of comics to the mainstream that they got more coverage. At least that was my experience.Five Best Wizard Magazine freebiesMar 09, 2019View

25VideoVaporman87I was a fan of the Go-Bots toys. They had a simpler design than that of the Transformers that made the toys easy to transform and fun to play with. The only drawback was the lack of articulation (but that wasn't uncommon in the 80's).Go-Bots IntroDec 10, 2012View
4115ArticlevkimoI was a freshman as well, my mom told me what happened as I woke up. It didn't register until I got to school and every class was just people staring, jaws open, at the TV screens. Teachers were crying, it was intense. I always felt we should have built the world's highest skyscraper on ground zero's foundation as a sign to the world that the US was still number one. 4098ArticleSupermanI was a huge fan of Fox Kids. The various incarnations of Power Rangers, Batman: The Animated Series, and Spider-Man: The Animated Series were some of my favorite shows on their lineup. I didn't often get to watch Fox Kids on Saturday mornings, but watching the block's afternoon lineup during the weekdays was my daily ritual after getting home from school.Five Childhood Programming Line Ups I LovedSep 03, 2017View
3379ArticlepikachuloverI was a huge fan of SSSS. It was so wacky and low budget. I even had a small Servo figure. Syd was my favorite character. I used to say my little cousin acted like Tanker. Too bad hardly anybody in my 5th grade watched the show. By 6th grade at my school it was "uncool" to like any of those shows. Actually there was a double standard in 5th grade about those shows it was ok for boys to like them, but not girls because they were too "mature" to like them. 5793ArticlecrazyrandomgamerI was a member of Retro Junk from November 2007 to about 2009-ish. I left because there were far too many debates about what is retro and what isn't, who was a kid of the 1990's, the age discrimination and all of the "stuff sucks now compared to when I was a kid" forum topics. Also didn't like the new design. However, the site brings back good memories for me. I'm not really too active on social media these days. Great article!Remembering RetroJunkJan 28, 2024View
