3180ArticleMarshMellowThanks, everyone, for taking the time to read my essay. Vaporman87, I refuse to be sued by anyone who doesn't heed my cautionary tale. I recommend keeping your face away from the action.:) Dec 11, 2015View
3223ArticleHoju KoolanderThe explosions and makeup parts were fun, but I am more touched that you got along with your Mom's boyfriend's daughter. I had as similar experience, where my Mom's boyfriend wasn't my favorite guy in the world, but his Grandson and I were best buds. They could take as much time for hanky-panky as they wanted as long as the two of us got to hang out. We're still in touch today and have many years of adventures to look back on.Expl-ho-ho-ho-sionDec 14, 2015View
3227ArticleMarshMellowHoju, It's awesome that you are still in touch with your childhood buddy. I wish I could say that "Lacey" and I had kept in touch, but our parents split up when we were about 12 years old. She lived with her mom in a different town (this was before we had internet at home) so we never saw each other again after that.Expl-ho-ho-ho-sionDec 16, 2015View
3163Articleechidna64Nice article! A video game marathon is a great way to take advantage of all the free time. When everyone is home for a holiday my brothers and I usually do a 24-hour LAN party. However, you might have sparked a new controversy this contest- is it retro? The Post-Christmas Video Game MarathonDec 10, 2015View
3179ArticleVaporman87It's a bit outside the standard time frame we focus on... pre-2000's. I'll let it slide since it does focus on a specific personal holiday tradition. The Post-Christmas Video Game MarathonDec 11, 2015View
3224ArticleRick Ace RhodesThanks guys. I know it didn't seem Retro enough, and that's something I try to avoid in general. However, I figured since it happened long ago it fit alright. The Post-Christmas Video Game MarathonDec 14, 2015View
3187ArticleVaporman87Superb read. Simply epic. There is so much nostalgic goodness just dripping from this, it makes ME want to go back to YOUR childhood and relive them one more time. LOL It's funny that one side of your family had 14 children, considering my mom came from a family of 13. They sure did pump out the kids back in their day, huh? I like that you include all the ways that you are incorporating some old traditions from your childhood into your own children's lives. That is something I can completely relate to, as I do the same thing. Sure, you get enjoyment out of continuing tradition, but you're mostly seeking to give your children the same joy that you KNOW they will experience in the same way you experienced it. There is no doubt that Christmas holds a special place in your heart. Thanks for sharing this amazing walk through your Christmas memories. How I Remember ChristmasDec 12, 2015View
3188ArticleVaporman87Oh, and I meant to mention that Tom Wopat and John Schneider did a Christmas album together too. I keep hearing songs from that album on SiriusXM Holiday Traditions (Ch. 18).How I Remember ChristmasDec 12, 2015View
3194ArticleNLoganWho wouldn't cry for joy opening up Castle Grayskull? How I Remember ChristmasDec 12, 2015View
3196Articlemickyarber@NLogan....I didn't include the picture because I couldn't find it, but I have a picture of me opening it while crying. In the picture, it doesn't look like they are tears of joy though. Almost like sadness or something. It's really weir thinking back on, because I just can't place what was going through my mind at that time. @Vaporman...when time travel get's invented, I'll pick you up and we'll head back for a week around Christmas and you can see how much fun we had then! How I Remember ChristmasDec 12, 2015View
