3894ArticlepikachuloverI liked 1997 too. I was not into the same things you were, but I really liked the music from that year.  May 15, 2017View
3910ArticlepikachuloverI remember both of these shows. Like you I remember how awkward they were. I agree that Magic had a hard time hosting the show. Sometimes sports figures make bad talk show hosts. Do you happen to remember the show VIBE? I think I watched it a few times there for musical guests. I did see the episode Save Ferris was on. 3909ArticlepikachuloverI really liked California Dreams a lot. I think it was the only show than ran for more than 1 season that I watched on T-NBC regularly. I only remember City Guys because KTLA used to show it to meet e/i requirements. It came on before Pokemon. I would catch the end of it while waiting to watch Pokemon. Hang Time was good, but after they really retooled it for season 2 I stopped watching. I really liked Student Bodies. I liked the cartoon element of it. I liked it because I wanted to be a cartoonist for my school paper back then. I remember there was that clumsy character named Grace. One show people don't really remember was Running the Halls. It only ran on NBC Saturday morning for one season in 1993-1994. Attack of the “Saved by the Bell” ClonesMay 28, 2017View
3916ArticlepikachuloverThere were so many of these. I remember the one with the girl who would dive into the empty pool. Or even of you got to see local ones from the state, county, or large metropolitan area. Memories of PDFA, and other PSA’s Jun 07, 2017View
3972ArticlepikachuloverMy prepubescent neighbor liked to watch Xuxa. His older sister and I thought her show was boring. At first her show was on at a good time like at 9AM then when the ratings dropped they moved it to like 6AM. When I was a teenager I got some jelly shoes and wore them to school circa 1998. All the girls kept calling them Xuxa shoes. I had never heard them called that before. Apparently that's what they call jelly shoes in other parts of the world. http://www.inthe80s.com/clothes/francophile86hotmailcom0.shtml I had never heard of Steampipe Alley until about 2 years ago when I saw somebody mention it in a comment on youtube, and I searched for some clips. My dad and I used to watch Gladiators 2000 on Sunday mornings. One of Ryan's co-hosts was Valerie Rae Miller who later went onto One Saturday Morning and Dark Angel. My dad had a crush on her. In the fall of 1995 my class went to a taping of Wild Animal Games. Another little known game show. Seacrest was the host. The only reason I knew who he was because I watched Gladiators 2000. None of the other people on that field trip had seen his other show. Anyway Seacrest was a jerk when my friends and I tried to meet him. Five Game Shows No One Talks About AnymoreJun 27, 2017View
4026ArticlepikachuloverOne school I went to spent a lot of money on school assembles. Most of the time they were just puppets that told you about the dangers of fire, strangers, or riding your bike. We had the duo of Janet and Judy come perform at our school. After the assembly the teacher handed out mimeograph work sheets about them. http://www.janetandjudy.com/ Slim Goodbody was supposed to come to my school, but he couldn't come so his people sent some replacement guy who talked about the environment. He was ok, but I really wanted to see Slim in person. I forget who was supposed to come, but it was cancelled because of the LA riots. Awesome School Assembly MemoriesJul 27, 2017View
4084Articlepikachulover@NLogan Those flocked bears were pretty popular. My mom had a birthday pin with a flocked bear holding some pom pom balloons and wearing a tiny party hat. I think I do all of my high school art class pictures are in my storage space. I threw out some pictures when I moved in 2008. But I kept some like my Conan O'Brien caricature. @Vapor I think I used to play that he would go meet Pokemon characters at the mall. I had this mall kiosk thing that I got from a dollar store that said it fit Barbie size dolls, but it was too short and could fit 5-8 inch figures better. He would go with his family to meet Misty and some other Pokemon. He went on lots of adventures he would hang out on the island on top of Ariel's grotto playset. Baby Mookey Aug 27, 2017View
