2569 | Article | shakin steak | Man, what a well-deserved win. Great setup, great plot, great writing. | Aug 27, 2015
4511 | Article | vkimo | Man, this sounded awesome. I met up with NLogan again after Retrocon while driving to Pennsylvania from California, even met his sidekick Ravenloft - These guys are a blast. Hopefully we can all get together again soon! | Rad Retro Weekend Part 1 | Aug 10, 2018
5048 | Article | Vaporman87 | Man, these are all perfect choices Ben. The only glaring omission (in my opinion) is Maniac Mansion. Nice pick with Parasite Eve! I had forgotten all about that game, and it was excellent. | Video games you could be playing on Halloween | Sep 27, 2019
1223 | Article | Hoju Koolander | Man, that totally happened to me. This was my own personal "The Crying Game" moment.I remember switching on MTV, seeing this "hot chick" playing keyboards and feeling my hormones rev. Then the next day at school I heard someone talking about those "Hanson brothers that sing Mmm-Bop" and it blew my mind. Glad to know I wasn't alone in my confusion, haha. | Hanson MMMBopped Their Way Into Our Lustful Hearts | Sep 10, 2014
1814 | Article | Vaporman87 | Man, something seemed so familiar about that Jenny Lewis, but after doing a Google search on her, she was not in any films that I ever really gave much attention to. She must have "one of those faces". Anyhow, I missed out on Out of this World (never watched an entire episode if memory serves). It seems like something I would have been interested in back in the day. Just for whatever reason, I never gave it a chance. I think the commercials that crack me up the most are the ones that have big time celebrities in them. Like Brad Pitt. Funny seeing these high profile celebs just starting out by doing the commercial circuit. | 80's Child Stars in TV Commercials | Jan 19, 2015
3734 | Article | vkimo | Man, somehow I missed this article the first time. Awesome synopsis of a truly epic weekend. I drove home that night smiling the whole time, you guys were such a great crew, it really surpassed all expectations. Again, another much needed thank you to Vapor for making it happen! | RetroDaze Invades RetroCon 2016 | Feb 12, 2017
5279 | Article | Vaporman87 | Man, McDonald's really used to know how to market Halloween to its fullest back in the day. Nowadays they barely do anything. | Retro Halloween: Mcdonald's Halloween Toys | Sep 23, 2020
1909 | Article | Ruespieler | Man, it hurt reading this. Great job on the early pics, have no idea where you dug those up. I enjoyed your reminiscing of the forums, and learned a thing or two about how they operated. As you know I rarely hung out there (except for that whole 10 article disaster when I learned the hard way what the difference was between a thread and a post lol). Debris... The Al Franken of RJ. Knites will be furious that you didn't mention the fact that is was his article, 'On Writing', that turned the site around and officially began RJ's golden age. We need to find DalmationLover and bring him here! Celeste too! I had been looking forward to reading this, sorry it wont make it to RJ. You didn't disappoint. I thought you took it pretty easy on ol' Vertex. Easier than I did... Thanks for the nod, it was great those times when we'd nit pick formatting issues, even on two different continents! Technically, I was the 3 time all time article champion if you include the time when, soon after the "upgrade", there was a glitch in the article thumb voting mechanism that allowed me to vote mine and Celeste's articles all the way to the top of the heap. Celeste's 'Animation to Live Action 2' still stands as the only article to break 1000 thumbs, both positive and negative. Nice read, mang. When's that contest starting?!?! | Remembering RetroJunk | Feb 09, 2015
4952 | Article | Benjanime | man, is it just me or did hanna-barbera have a raging boner for mystery cartoons? lol. | Temple of Retro Toys | Jun 06, 2019
2170 | Article | vkimo | Man, I wish I had some friends to play a game like that with. What I find most amazing is the game had all the pieces! I recently came across a card game from 1981 called "Weather Slam" that I had to have. It was sealed and only cost a few dollars. I brought it back home and cracked it open to play with my wife. The cards looked like some kid was given a crayon and paid in marbles to illustrate the cards. Nice find though, that VHS video is awesome too. | The Dragon Master | Mar 28, 2015 |
