2240 | Article | Hoju Koolander | @massreality yeah, I remember there being a Darkman connection there somewhere. | May 06, 2015
2245 | Article | jkatz | I'm late to the party on this, but I read a story about Michael Ulsan (who's been involved with pretty much everything Batman related, ever) was meeting with some Kenner people, who through their contract were only allowed to make toys based of the movie and comics and apparently were out of ideas. Uslan shows them a bunch of old issues from the 50s, aka the ones with all the really crazy, outlandish stuff, and Kenner used them as inspiration for expanding their toyline. Always wondered if that's how my beloved "Capture Claw Batman" came to be.. | Kenner Action Toy Guide '94 | May 07, 2015
3183 | Article | Shaddam Corrino IV | This article has me nostalgic for the '90's and all of the toys from movies that were made, and also wishing that there were toys based on the new movies like Avengers: Age Of Ultron (all that we got from that movie-well, I got- were the Hot Wheels cars), The Martian, Jurassic World, Mad Max: Fury Road, Ant-Man, and a few others. At least we have toys based on Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, but I would've loved to see a set of toys from The Martian (The Lander, The Hab, action figures of Mark Watney and the rest of the crew of the Ares.) Where are they? @Vaporman87: There were bad-guy (and gal) figures from Batman-The Animated Series (Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, Two-Face, Clayface, the Joker, Penguin, Catwoman, Bane, and Mr. Freeze), as well as ones of the Creeper and several others. I'd love to see a new set of Shadow action figures as well. | Kenner Action Toy Guide '94 | Dec 11, 2015
2227 | Article | Vaporman87 | I loved Mannequin. Like you, I would watch it many times. I was fascinated by the idea of creating your own perfect woman (though I was not as fond of Weird Science for whatever reason). I had totally forgotten that James Spader played the bad guy here. He always did a bang up job as a bad guy/douche. It's fitting that he is playing Ultron in the Avengers 2. While I always thought Kristy Swanson (from Mannequin 2) was the more attractive female of the two, the first movie was far superior in every way. I think the second one kind of took the cheese factor to a whole new level that, even for the 80's, was just too much. | Mannequin - An Unappreciated Classic | Apr 27, 2015
2231 | Article | Vaporman87 | I got in my truck this morning, started it up, and what was playing at that moment on the 80's on 8? You guessed it... Starship - Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now. LOL. | Mannequin - An Unappreciated Classic | Apr 28, 2015

2237 | Article | Hoju Koolander | I saw Mannequin for the first time a few years ago, I was just amazed at all the familiar faces. It was a real surprise to see "Captain Harris" outside of a Police Academy movie. This film actually has a lot of parallels to one of my guilty pleasures, Xanadu. Frustrated artist gets a magical dream girl to help him achieve success with multiple costume changes during musical montages. Yep, all that's missing is the roller skates. The original Buffy the Vampire Slayer was in Mannequin 2? This I gotta see! | Mannequin - An Unappreciated Classic | May 01, 2015

2250 | Article | Vaporman87 | I really can't fault any of these selections. They were all great and fun games. I would probably have a hard time leaving Ninja Gaiden, Bases Loaded, and a few others off the list though. But I think, at least as far as Bases Loaded is concerned, that has more to do with my personal experiences and investment in the game than it does quality or fun factor. Metroid is another great title that's hard to dismiss, as is Jackal. Soooo many choices... it just comes down to personal preference in the end. | NES: The 5 Best Games | May 11, 2015
2259 | Article | Hoju Koolander | Aw, you spoil all the fun by being civil ;) But it's true, naming the greats is totally subjective. Ninja Gaiden might he the greatest game ever, but if my brother flicked my ear every time I tried to play it, I would likely have bad memories of it and keep it off the list. | NES: The 5 Best Games | May 12, 2015 |
