2774 | Article | Vaporman87 | Oh I wore my fair share of Ben Cooper costumes (and probably some Collegeville ones as well). I don't recall which unfortunately, but I do remember the feel and smell of those vinyl costumes and the uncomfortable feel of those plastic masks. Often my face would be pouring sweat, as those masks made it impossible to vent the condensation from your breathing. Then the rubber band would get caught in your hair and that would get really uncomfortable. I still love them though. The bacteria cesspools that we used for bobbing for apples games was something I never thought about. As a kid, it never even crossed my mind that 50 people had put their faces in there before me. Now, of course, it makes me sick just thinking about it. LOL And yes, the time frames that we do trick or treating at now seem absurd. It is barely dark by the time my kids are done (about 7:00 PM) and that really detracts from the experience. I do make sure to tag alone with my kids these days, even though I was free to roam our neighborhood with no parental supervision in my youth. mainly because their is a major road cutting through the houses, and because it's just more dangerous for kids these days. But we do get in on the act by costuming ourselves. Fun article slayer, thanks! | Oct 05, 2015
4717 | Article | Dalek227 | Oh I love this so much!! I especially relate to the comments your friends dad made. People don’t think they sound as bad as they really do LOL I’m still adding parts to my article because it’s almost like therapy. What I find hard is when I’m writing, I’m thinking in the mindset of how I felt back then, but I don’t want people to think my childhood was all crap because it wasn’t. So I feel like I have to throw in a reminder here and there that it wasn’t total crap it just wasn’t the normal skinny kid childhood haha | Being The Fat Kid | Dec 15, 2018
4685 | Article | Benjanime | oh how i miss goofy kids block gimmicks like these, lol. i even remember a brief commercial when certain kids wb cartoon characters sang "deck the halls with pok'eballs!" when pokemon was still a fad. | Kids WB Christmas Blocks | Nov 26, 2018

4374 | Article | Vaporman87 | Oh crap! I had all but forgotten the Marvel Illustrated magazine. Talk about comic nerd weirdness... this was it. Weird because those pencil and ink sketches could still elicit higher heartrates in teenagers. | Retro Magazine RoundUp: Sports Illustrated 1994 | May 07, 2018
1066 | Article | MissM | Oh Benjanime, the Dunkin Donuts cereal was everything. It tasted so good. There was a lot of good food in the 80's. I remember my brother liking the Oreo O's cereal in the late 90's, but I wasn't interested in breakfast at that time. I bet they were really good though. And Vaporman, every time I do find myself drinking Tab, I feel my insides die just a little. lol It is like soda made with Sweet 'n Low. I know all about Diet Rite though, that stuff was pretty bad, though I love your description. lol Broken down zombie. lol | A Logo of Love | Apr 16, 2014
