2796 | Article | Vaporman87 | Here's something sorely lacking from our seasonal trips down memory lane here... something on the aroma of it all. I too love the smell of Fall. The air is crisp and cool, which makes the smells all the more potent. I love that smell. Typically it's laced with the burning of wood in fireplaces around here, and something about that really strikes a chord with me. I think maybe it's because we often used the fireplace in the family room of my old childhood home, and when we did it was followed by all the festive and fun things about the season. | Oct 07, 2015
3842 | Article | Vaporman87 | Here's something you can fact check on the internet; the county I live in (Meigs) is notorious for "Meigs County Gold (or Green)"... or marijuana for those a bit confused. Even people in other states had heard of Meigs County's abundance of Mary Jane (why that is I don't want to know). So naturally we were routinely shovel fed a steady dose of anti-drug seminars in school. Typically this was a group of former dopeheads putting the fear of the almighty in you. Now look at this nation. We're legalizing the stuff. Go figure. | Retro Culture of Fear | Apr 23, 2017

3767 | Article | Vaporman87 | Hey don't be dissin' Crunch 'N Munch now! It was the snack I... had to go with because nothing else was present in the pantry at the time. And it tasted fair! And who wouldn't want to be SweetTarts Man, really? He has the power to create teeth-rotting snacks on demand. As far as Combo-Man: Would those gauntlets be part of Deadpool? I don't know, probably not. And maybe Mr. Fantastic thighs? Hard to tell. | Marvel Comics Food Ads of the 90's | Feb 21, 2017
4956 | Article | Benjanime | hey guys, just thought i'd mention that this article was originally planned to be a bit longer, but with the limitation on length i had to narrow it down a chunk. it was nothing special though, i was just going to add some funny moments from these trips. so likely in the future if i have more lengthy stories like this to tell i'll start putting them in seperate parts. | The Summer Archives | Jun 19, 2019

4001 | Article | OldSchool80s | Hey Laz, thanks for sharing. What a strange combination of shows. I remember watching Battlestar when it was in primetime, but not really in syndication where I grew up. I do remember watching Family Affair in syndication, but it was during the day (not late at night). I do have fond memories of staying up late to watch Elvira's scary movies, but it might be more fond memories of just seeing the sexy Elvira herself. One thing I remember staying up late on Saturday nights to watch in the market I grew up was wrestling shows. They showed World Class Championship Wrestling out of Dallas late on Saturday nights and then I also remember that was when GLOW was on as well. I also loved getting to stay up late to watch Saturday Night Live when I was deemed old enough for that. | Late Night Re-runs (Circa mid-80s) | Jul 22, 2017 |
