4004 | Article | Hoju Koolander | @NLogan KB was a way to shop for "retro" toys, but after just a few years of the line's release. @Vaporman87 My complete disregard for conventional employment led to many adventures, that's for sure KB was a discount heaven for those of us who had less mainstream taste. For example, all The Shadow figures found nowadays have a KB Toys price tag on them. Author's Note: I mistakenly called Captain Liberty from The Tick "Liberty Lass" in the article. I got her mixed up with a fictional heroine from Mark Hammil's mockumentary Comic Book The Movie. My bad. | Jul 22, 2017
4049 | Article | DirtyD79 | When I was a teenager I remember me and my brother got kicked out of a toys r us for riding bikes around the store and playing football in one of the aisles. Needless to say we got kicked out. Ironically several years later my brother would end up working at the toys r us we got kicked out of. As for KB what I liked about them was they were a decent place to get models and stuff like paint and glue for them. Toys R Us was decent too but they were kind of out of the way compared to the KB I normally went to. | Toy Store Dreams | Aug 18, 2017
5432 | Article | Vaporman87 | That sounds like a great place for some learning and adventure. I wish we had something even remotely close to this nearby. | Homesick: Rochester Museum and Science Center | Jun 08, 2021
5437 | Article | onipar | Sounds cool! I used to love going to places like that too. My school used to take us on tons of field trips to museums, zoos, and stuff like that. | Homesick: Rochester Museum and Science Center | Jun 09, 2021
5440 | Article | Benjanime | it's unfortunate that school field trips weren't as often as we'd hoped when we were younger, well, at least for me anyway. i suppose it had to do with the schools asking parents for the required money but even so just going on one felt like an adventure. | Homesick: Rochester Museum and Science Center | Jun 10, 2021
4334 | Article | jkatz | That header image cracked me up. You should consider doing a webcomic, if you haven't already. | Tales of a Picky Eater | Mar 27, 2018
4335 | Article | Benjanime | i actually have had a project in the works for this year, being a collab with a friend of mine and myself, but it hasn't been decided whether i'll be doing it as literature with illustrated chapters, or just a full blown comic with the plot being about a half human/half wolf and her friends on a journey to find a rare flower. it will have a feel similar to the 2003 teen titans cartoon where it has lighthearted humor in some moments and action in others. https://benjamillion.deviantart.com/art/Kerii-title-concept-art-722927264 | Tales of a Picky Eater | Mar 27, 2018
4336 | Article | Rick Ace Rhodes | I'm with you. I hated those school pizza lunches. It was terrible tasting in my humble opinion. | Tales of a Picky Eater | Mar 27, 2018
4341 | Article | pikachulover | I was another kid who didn't like school pizza. When I first saw it on my tray I was like "What is this?" I thought I was going to get a slice like from a round pizza. I tasted horrible. I tried it once in Kindergarten and never again. I never understood why the kids at school went so crazy for that pizza. We also had the variation "French Bread Pizza" too. It was just a long roll with some melted cheese and some meat on top of it. The school lunches I liked to eat were; hamburgers, rib sandwiches (school's knockoff mcrib), chicken sandwich, chicken nuggets, baked chicken, baked turkey, teriyaki chicken and sometimes spaghetti. I don't like a bunch of weird stuff in my deviled eggs. Only egg, mayonnaise and salt. | Tales of a Picky Eater | Mar 31, 2018
4360 | Article | Superman | My cousin was the picky eater in my family. I was always a bit more adventurous in what I ate. Strangely, I loved those school pizzas but wouldn't touch the pizza my grandmother once ordered with green peppers and mushrooms as toppings. I was used to sausage or pepperoni at the time. Veggies on a pizza just seemed weird to me. | Tales of a Picky Eater | Apr 18, 2018 |
