5785 | Article | LizCampy | Does anyone remember what the knock off version of the Wuzzles were called? Maybe it was a Wuzzle. It was a stuffed toy, the body of a Chicken, but had the head of a Dog. It was white with some orange on it. It was 2 animals in one... I have been going crazy for more than 25 years trying to find this stuffed toy. I'd be so grateful if anyone could let me know the name and where to find one. LizCampy@gmail.com | Nov 16, 2023
1853 | Article | Vaporman87 | That's an awesome trip Hoju. I know that Universal in Orlando had many of the same attractions you spoke of here, and I got to see many of them over the years. I haven't been to Universal Studios in Orlando for nearly 14 years. I'm sure much has changed since then. This year, the kids are big enough to ride some of what Universal and Islands of Adventure has to offer, so we have pre-purchased tickets for both, in addition to our usual Disney stops. We'll be leaving late in February, so I'll keep you up to speed on all the new stuff. | Universal Studios Hollywood '92 | Jan 30, 2015
1855 | Article | pikachulover | I've been to Citywalk a few times, but I've never been to the actual park. I remember my aunt rode the ET ride and got mad because he pronounced her name wrong. | Universal Studios Hollywood '92 | Jan 30, 2015
1859 | Article | Fulton4V | My favorite ride at Universal in Florida was Back to the future. It was just cool to sit in a Deloreon and go thru the ride. | Universal Studios Hollywood '92 | Jan 30, 2015
1860 | Article | Hoju Koolander | @Vaporman87 That's sweet, I have wanted to check out Islands of Adventure for years. Hope you have a great trip. @pikachulover During High School I once "danced for candy" at one of the shops in the Citywalk, it was really an awkward attempt at flirting with one of the cute sales girls. I didn't get her number, but I got the candy! @Fulton4V Yeah, BTTF was a great experience, I'm glad they put the videos on the Blu-ray release of the films. Any word on whether The Simpsons ride that replaced it is any good? | Universal Studios Hollywood '92 | Jan 30, 2015
1850 | Article | Vaporman87 | Ha! What a story. A bit concerning, but at least your parents were involved from the start... just in case things weren't on the "up and up". Still, it seems rather disingenuous on the part of the school. I think I'd probably complain if I were a parent that found out. | Model Student | Jan 29, 2015
1851 | Article | pikachulover | The school dealt with a few more shady people including the people who sold class rings and graduation supplies. I didn't really want to be a model anyway I was just curious. | Model Student | Jan 29, 2015
1862 | Article | Hoju Koolander | Most people run into those types of "Modeling Schools" at malls from what I hear. It's so weird that the school sanctioned such an obvious cash-grab. Do you remember those TV ads that ran on daytime TV for the Barbizon School of Modeling way back when? They usually came on right after a commercial for Survival auto insurance with the guys playing poker, "Are you insured?" "Yes." "By Survival?" "No." "I can't take that bet." So cheesy, cracks me up. | Model Student | Jan 30, 2015
1865 | Article | pikachulover | Of course I remember the modeling school ads and the insurance ones they would show them during Punky Brewster all the time. "Call Survival now!" | Model Student | Jan 30, 2015
1999 | Article | MissM | That is crazy! I can't believe your school had a connection with that lady and the modeling school. That is some experience you went through. I liked how you also mentioned the Sailor Moon episode because while reading about your experience I kept thinking, this sounds like it could turn into a Sailor Moon episode or something. | Model Student | Feb 16, 2015 |
