4139ArticleHoju KoolanderVery interesting to get your perspective on these films as someone who wasn't in the thick of Batmania in '89 like I was. I think Nolan's first 2 films hold up against Burton's very well, but lack the fun comic book hyper-realism that Nicholson and Keaton enjoyed with the production design of their films. Batman '89 gets my vote for most entertaining comic book movie of all time, but I'll admit there's a heavy dose of nostalgia leading to that decision. Sep 20, 2017View
4146ArticleSupermanThis reminds me of some of the contests Fox Kids used to run. I entered a few of them but never won. It was always my dream that one day I would be a winner, though. If you ever see an active listing for one of those Spy Kits, I think you should totally buy it for her! Better late than never, and it would make for a very sentimental gift.My Sister and the Harriet the Spy Nickelodeon Contest Sep 23, 2017View
4150ArticleHoju KoolanderVery sweet story of Brotherly Love (sans the Lawrence Brothers). The idea of not understanding the odds against you in these contests is so right on. Ahh, the optimism of childhood. My Sister and the Harriet the Spy Nickelodeon Contest Sep 24, 2017View

4076ArticleVaporman87Blast you Dunkaroos makers! They denied us all a chance to partake in the Pooter craze. Your drive to make Pooter matter in the world is admirable, especially since I can see myself doing all of those same things with various characters of my own creation. It's frustrating when you know how amazing something is, and you just want other people to realize it darn it!!! Perhaps there is still an opportunity for Pooter out there somewhere. Maybe Australia needs a good mascot for their tourist industry literature and media!Oh Pooter!Aug 26, 2017View
4081ArticleNLoganYour ambition for Pooter knew no bounds writing letters like crazy. I never wrote to a company, I only sent in my proofs of purchase for cereal box mail-a-way offers.Oh Pooter!Aug 26, 2017View
4086ArticlevkimoNice piece, I can tell a lot of work went into formatting it. You definitely took Pooter the whole 9 yards!Oh Pooter!Aug 27, 2017View
4088ArticleRadical@Vaporman87: Yeah, I left it open-ended in case I ever wanted to repoot him. My skills have almost met my ambitions after all these years. I do feel Pooter's decade was the 90s, like Eddie Murphy's was the 80s. @NLogan: My brother and I would write letters to every business, enter every contest, and send in proof of purchases for every cool toy. Not sure how my parent felt about it, but they provided the stamps and envelopes. Snail mail was awesome in a way that social media isn't: tangible and professional. I always wanted Sonic or Mario to read my letters, which I'm sure they did. @vkimo: Hey thanks! The formatting worked its way out while I was writing it, but I had to start off with an obvious poot joke to clear the air. Would you believe the most time and effort went into identifying and finding fonts they used in 90s kids magazines? I eventually used a Scrapbook making software that had 1000 fonts in it.Oh Pooter!Aug 29, 2017View
4095ArticleSupermanNice job. I can tell why this was one of the winning articles. You obviously devoted a lot of time into turning Pooter into a star. Perhaps he is a well remembered icon of the '90s in some alternate universe. That would be kind of cool, wouldn't it?Oh Pooter!Sep 03, 2017View
