5609 | Article | Vaporman87 | @Maxine - Sorry to hear that. Even here in the states, most conventions that slant toward "retro" content are too focused on retro gaming. | Mar 09, 2022
5631 | Article | Vaporman87 | Folks prefer some images scattered throughout the articles. But, having said that, this was an entertaining look into the "behind the counter" action in a video store. Those will be memories cherished forever, no doubt. Especially now that they've gone the way of the Dodo. | I Was A Preteen Video Store Clerk for My Dad's Shop | Apr 22, 2022
5644 | Article | Vaporman87 | Now you're speaking my language! I remember NONE of these cereals. Then again, I was in college for majority of the runs these cereals enjoyed. I love how crazy the gimmicks became as the '80s progressed and we headed into the '90s. Anything was fair game. Unlike nowadays, where we get next to no fun gimmicks, mascots, or funky flavors. | Rarely Remembered Cereals | Jun 15, 2022
5647 | Article | Vaporman87 | Oh man. What an excellent recounting of a fun memory. I love these stories. Love the humorous way you tell it as well. Your fondness for the Han Solo Blaster reminds me of my relationship with my Shogun Godzilla. I still have that toy, and it's seen so much play through the years, I'm surprised it didn't crumble to pieces. I have photos of my opening it one special Christmas, though I can't remember the actual events. Many, many years later, I bought another one, complete in the box with instructions and everything. It's in FAR better condition than my original, but that broken down piece of plastic means a great deal more to me. | My Very Own Han Solo Blaster | Jun 15, 2022
5663 | Article | Vaporman87 | Ahhh. Very nice. I feel you. I feel you. Yeah, it's become quite hot and stuffy in these dog days of Summer. Vacation has passed, and now it's just a countdown to our annual Fair. After that, the pivot to Halloween is instantaneous. Doesn't matter what the calendar says... as far as I'm concerned, Halloween season is here. I definitely had many a beautiful summer day that felt wasted, alone. You tend to forget all those days, your memory favoring the good times. And living where I did, I could not just escape to town for some much needed distraction. I was stuck where I was. That probably helped nurture my imagination. Having to come up with my own fun... somehow. | The Cure | Jul 25, 2022
5662 | Article | Vaporman87 | There is a lot content out there that blasts D.A.R.E. for being too simplistic in its approach, and for its ineffectiveness. That fact of the matter is it was a multi-pronged approach to a crisis that was blowing up all too quickly. There was little time to effectively create a campaign that covered every conceivable base. If nothing else, it definitely made a memorable impact, considering we're still talking about it today. | How DARE Failed to Prevent Drug Use | Jul 25, 2022
5693 | Article | Vaporman87 | That feeling of disinterest happens eventually, but I can confidently tell you it returns to you if you have children. Maybe not in the same way, but there is a rush of excitement over trick-or-treating nonetheless. | Spooky Time: Halloween Memories | Oct 14, 2022
5694 | Article | Vaporman87 | That Simpsons set is incredible. What a variety! | Fast Food Halloween: Burger King Halloween Toys | Oct 14, 2022
5721 | Article | Vaporman87 | I wouldn't mind trying out some of those Pac Dots and washing them down with two ingredient Ecto Cooler. Yum. | Nostalgic Munchies 2: Electric Boogaloo | Sep 02, 2023
5722 | Article | Vaporman87 | Twisted Metal was a great game. The new TV show however... | The Vehicular Carnage of Twisted Metal | Sep 02, 2023 |
