5310ArticleoniparYes! Oh man, this one is a blast from the past. When I was younger, my dad bought this game for me. I'm convinced he only bought it because it was related to the Addams Family. I was pretty young, so my dad had to explain what the Addams Family was (now I love the show of course). Anyway, I agree, the difficulty level on this game was insane. I wasn't particularly good at beating games, but this one! I never got very far beyond the first areas. That didn't stop me from playing over and over again though.  Oct 14, 2020View
3950ArticleVaporman87Yes! I am very much looking forward to every article on this subject. I love old TV Guides and I enjoy your breakdowns of each show here. So many shows here that I've never heard of. Like you've mentioned, some of these really do have the star power, and on paper they should have been successes. But that isn't a guaranteed formula. The viewing public can be a fickle bunch. I don't think anybody was ready to see Jack Tripper in a marriage setting. And maybe people weren't as keen on high-tech motorcycles like they were talking Trans Ams. But some of these really seemed to have a good premise. I'd like to be able to catch some episodes of Paper Dolls, Call to Glory, and Hawaiian Heat. Craig T. Nelson, Elisabeth Shue, AND Keenan Wynn?! Yes please.1984 TV Guide Fall Preview: ABCJun 21, 2017View

3866ArticleHoju KoolanderYes, more of these Wizard excerpts please. I definitely tuned into MANTIS as well. It was a very cool premise, though it was always just a countdown to when/how his suit would give out. The image selected for the Swamp Thing blurb is from The Return of Swamp Thing movie (which is mega fun) not the TV show (Which didn't have the same wacky spirit). I saw Mask of the Phantasm in theaters, it was just an extra long episode, nothing great. Rob Leifeld was always claiming he had a movie based on one of his creations coming out, that never happened. I remember Badrock and Prophet starring Tom Cruise specifically. And yes, Vaporman87 is right, I LOVE The Shadow. Alec Baldwin and his supporting cast have such great banter in a beautiful 1930s throwback setting. Just go in expecting more humor than gritty action and you will be entertained, though it has some cool special effects scenes.Andy Mangels Hollywood Heroes From May 1993Apr 24, 2017View
4400ArticleronuYes, I remember Children's Palace and it was indeed real. There was in Monroeville, PA on route 22 right in front of the mall. There is a Dodge dealership now. I was very sad when it closed in the mid '90's because I too had a lot of childhood memories of that store. I thought that I was the only person in the world that still remembers their jingle from their commercials. "At Children's Palace, the password is fun!"Children's Palace Was RealJun 06, 2018View

2042ArticleOldSchool80sYes, agreed the show is not what it used to be. I never liked the offensive-for-the-sake-of-being-offensive stuff much to begin with. As I said, I still appreciate a good 80s reference. And you may notice that most of my examples are not from recent years. Thanks for reading!80s Pop Culture References in Family GuyFeb 22, 2015View
