4470ArticleHoju KoolanderGlad to finally hear a first hand account of this place, as the rumors and legends are many. We recently mentioned Action Park on my podcast SequelQuest when we were pitching a sequel to the BMX movie RAD which features a sliding scene that takes place on a concrete slide that sounds a lot like your experience. Jun 19, 2018View
4441ArticleVaporman87Wagon Train sounds amazing. The way in which you recall these special adventures gives the reader a sense of almost being there. It's sad that it had to come to an end, but its memory will live on in you. Thank you for sharing this Mick.Wagon Train VacationsJun 16, 2018View
4447ArticleNLoganAwesome Mick. I loved the old pictures. I like how specific memories of how you received toys or read the magazine are tied in. I can remember reading specific issues of comics on trips or receiving a particular toy also. I participated in Mountain Man rendezvous for several years that had various games and competitions and we dressed up, and a pioneer trek once that had wagons and handcarts that were similar. 4450ArticlemickyarberYeah, it was a pretty magical time for sure. I’m so glad my mother hung onto all the pictures too. I gained them in my possesion a few years ago, and have wanted to write about it ever since.Wagon Train VacationsJun 16, 2018View
4452ArticlejkatzWow! Those are some great photos. I liked reading about the Wagon Train events as well. It must have been fun to spend summers with the same group of people each year.Wagon Train VacationsJun 17, 2018View
4469ArticleHoju KoolanderThe end of this article sounds like it should be narrated by Daniel Stern from The Wonder Years with some Crosby, Stills and Nash music in the background. It's the height of nostalgia to remember something that truly no longer exists, just faded away at some point in the past.Wagon Train VacationsJun 19, 2018View
4405ArticleVaporman87Those Masters of the Universe tees may have been iron-ons. Perhaps that's why they are so elusive online. They look like iron-ons in the photographs. You sir, had impeccable style in your youth.Awesome 80's T-ShirtsJun 12, 2018View
4411ArticleHoju Koolander@vaporman87 I had that same thought and searched for iron on patches as well, but came up empty as Skeletor's ocular cavity.Awesome 80's T-ShirtsJun 12, 2018View
