3960ArticleVaporman87@Rick: What a great thing that your parents eventually reconciled their differences. Spared you a lot of uncertainty and sleepless nights. If there was one thing that bothered me the most about my parents' divorce, it was that I no longer had my Dad around to make me feel safe in my own home. Jun 21, 2017View
3988ArticleVaporman87You know, after watching the Paper Dolls intro, I am simply stunned that anybody whose acting name was "Dack Rambo" would have any trouble becoming a superstar. Seriously. LOL1984 TV Guide Fall Preview: ABCJul 13, 2017View
3991ArticleVaporman87I'm pretty sure you've had the most retro-privileged life of any person on Earth. A person could make 10 childhoods out your one. But as far as both TRU and Kaybee (or KB) are concerned, I was more of a KB kid. I think because we didn't really have a Toys 'R Us nearby for most of my childhood. However, there was a Kaybee Toys in the nearest mall for a long time. Later I came to appreciate KB for their well worn stock. It became a hunting ground for me in the late '90s when the new Godzilla movie was soon to arrive, and the King of the Monsters and Godzilla Wars Trendmasters toys could still be found on the occasional KB shelf. I was fetching good money for those on Ebay, while bolstering my own collection (man, I've been a member of Ebay for almost 20 years. That's insane). Toy Store DreamsJul 22, 2017View
3992ArticleVaporman87Another freaking sweet toy hunt for Hoju. I would have been thoroughly enjoying the old McD's Happy Meal finds. I need to have more relatives/friends who would let me look through all their old stuff. Maybe I can pay somebody to let me do it. Raiders of the Lost ToysJul 22, 2017View
3993ArticleVaporman87I have no memories at all of Elementary School assemblies. I don't think we had any, actually. Now later, in high school, we did. But the only ones I have any memories of were anti-drug people coming in to warn us of the dangers of Mary Jane. Looking back on those days now, and on the opiate problem this area now faces, they would probably beg us to smoke marijuana.Awesome School Assembly MemoriesJul 22, 2017View
3994ArticleVaporman87I tried so hard to stay awake some nights as a kid, but often found it to be futile. However, when I was able to do so, Elvira was always there to greet me. Her and old Godzilla movies. And if I made it almost all the way through, I would be treated to random women in leotards and leg warmers sticking their butts in my face while saxophone music played. Seriously... who was watching this?Late Night Re-runs (Circa mid-80s)Jul 22, 2017View
3995ArticleVaporman87Not to mention I'm pretty sure Cap and Iron Fist can throw a punch well beyond anything a human will ever throw. WRONG Spidey! I like Iron Man's "for 2 seconds" line. That all changed with the Hulkbuster Armor. LOL Also, Wolvie said "dumb butt". That's funny right there.Wolverine a Reader's Perspective Part 19Jul 22, 2017View
3996ArticleVaporman87Best choice here is easily Rutger Hauer as Magneto. Man... I would have LOVED to see that. Best Magneto ever, right there. Worst choice... Bob Hoskins??? Uh, no. Yeah, he's short and loud, but c'mon. The man would have had to work out for years to get ready for that part.My Dream Cast for a 1987 X-Men movieJul 22, 2017View
4011ArticleVaporman87While Hoskins may be perfect in some ways, he just lacks an intimidating frame. Like I said, he would have had to go ape on the weights for a very long time just to come close to Wolvie's shape. I would probably have gone with somebody like Tom Cruise. He's short, he can pack on muscle when he needs to, and he's insane. Kinda like Logan. My Dream Cast for a 1987 X-Men movieJul 22, 2017View
4050ArticleVaporman87I think the saturation of "ninja" in the late 80's was it's peak. Even I had a full on ninja outfit (as ordered from one of the many ninja magazines I had), including foam nun chucks, rubber throwing stars, and a sword. You couldn't escape it. Everyone wanted to be a ninja. Revenge of the Imaginary Ninjas!Aug 22, 2017View
