even so, this shouldn't be something to be blaming nintendo for. if people are gonna constantly post on forums and youtube about hinting at these, eventually it's gonna become a swarm of more of them wanting it. i don't know if if the staff at nintendo were either so distraught about seeing these requests pop up every day that they had to make it happen, or just that they were happy to cater to the fans in seeing a classic getting brought back.

again, i don't mind if something along the lines of majora's mask gets remade, since it was less of a success than the over-popular ocarina of time that's just oh so special. but i believe that this was spoiled long before the trailer came out. majora's mask was seen as an assist trophy in the new super smash bros, as well as being hung on a wall in a link between worlds on the 3DS. if that's not hinting it, i don't know what is. and yes, i'm aware that the wii virtual console is still up and running as i'm typing this, but i'd love playing this game in portable form. believe me, i've tried playing an n64 emulator on my psp, doesn't even have the right hardware to handle the roms, but i don't have the patience to play a game that's struggling with five frames per second.

majora's mask was overshadowed greatly by the game that came before it.

Ocarina was one of the best Zelda games. MM was one of the worst.

Whatever, I give up on Zelda and Nintendo in general since Skyward Sword. Despite a few nice things here and there, overall they have been going the opposite of the direction I want for a long time.

i take it you didn't like majora's mask because of the three day time mechanic? some people liked it, some people hated it, i understand, my first time playing i didn't know where to go or what to do in the first part of the game, but that's because it and ocarina of time before it were about exploration and figuring things out. not everyone holds the same opinion on it though. all of the legend of zelda games try to incorporate a new way of creativity in gameplay for each installment. skyward sword was nintendo's second attempt at wii remote functionality, and even that got a love/hate opinion with the demographic of fans. all i'm saying is, the remake should be given a second chance, even if the original didn't do as well in sales as previous games before it.

The three day mechanic was not my problem. Majora's Mask was the gateway to the game series changing for the worse. As an experiment, a "side story", I never had a problem with it. But as time went on its principles became the guiding light for the series which is now about NPCs and puzzles more than combat, monsters, action and high fantasy setting. Where a labyrinth or palace was once a maze within an open world, now everything, dungeon and overworld alike, is completely scripted events along a carefully proscribed path that rewards no wandering, in fact barely even allows it except in backtracking. Also Link looks like a girl, moblins look and act like retards, and Tingle...exists.
