Man, this wave of sexual misconduct allegations has certainly reached into our sacred era of nostalgia now. Even Masters of the Universe director Gary Goddard is being named, by Revenge of the Nerds/Top Gun actor Anthony Edwards no less.

Apparently, a MOTU film is going to start filming this spring. Given how many '80s cartoons have seen new live-action adaptations lately, I'm kind of surprised it has taken them this long to do one. Since superheroes are so popular at the box office these days, I could see a well done MOTU movie making a lot of money. Then again, I said the same thing when I heard about the new Power Rangers movie, and that one underperformed.

Great as that news is to me, I don't have high hopes. It seems like a bad sign that they have announced when shooting will begin, but not what actors are on board... if any yet. Hopefully they realize that going colorful and true to the original designs of the characters is "in" right now, as proven by Marvel and DC films.

Head to over to the National Toy Hall of Fame website and place your vote for Masters of the Universe to be inducted into the Hall this year! DO IT! I command you!

I was saddened to learn of the passing of my favorite writer of MOTU episodes, Larry DiTillio. He not only wrote for my all-time favorite cartoon series, but his episodes were among the best. RIP Larry. You have the power!
