Don't forget his work on the Dragon Quest series and Chrono Trigger! One of my two favorites as well. He was way too young.

1995 was a very special year IMO and I should definitely thank him for helping make it even more special!

Rock on, Akira!

I was shocked when I found out the news this morning. I've been rewatching DBZ for the past couple weeks and just checked to see how Toriyama was doing the other day.

Dragon Ball was one of those franchise that touched an entire generation. I thank him for giving us a lifetime of entertainment and characters to love.

Goku's Japanese voice actress had this to say recently.

I never imagined that something I first watched in 2001 would grow to become so cherished by myself, and fans around the world. The characters from the initial series became like friends. Remember when Emperor Pilaf cut a fart, and blamed it on Shu?

I only just remembered that Akira Toriyama's Sandland series is getting a video game. Unfortunate that he'll never get to see the feedback it gets, and the players that will play it online.
