Dudes, the forecaast was too conservative. The entire region was snow slammed all day long, wth more on the way for Monday and Tuesday. I'm holding all my ordered deliveries until January, when we are expecting to thaw out.

Check this out - Seattle barely made it to 20 degrees this afternoon.

That's the problem, It's a deep freeze at night but it stays cold during the day. The ice will hang around till January.

That sucks to hear Edd. I hear he midwest is going to get socked real hard over the next week. We had a pretty bad frozen rain and hail storm in my neck of the woods today.

Due to Seattle's location snow doesn't usually last long. But this is the most unusual situation, the snow won't melt because it's waay too cold - it's all turning to ice with fresh snow falling on top.

Like I said, all my deliveries are on hold until the weather breaks. So my January grocery delivery might happen by January 8, 2022. Until then I'll enjoy this Winter Wonderland.

So where's that global warming everyone's talking about?

Well we got our first real snowstorm on Friday. Nothing major by any means, I think around two inches at most. I was able to shovel everything in under 15 minutes.

Unfortunately we got a bad ice storm that literally froze everything over on Sunday. Monday afternoon I tried getting my mom's car open and couldn't because the doors were literally frozen shut. Today I got three of the four open. The front passenger side still won't budge. The trunk is also frozen shut. We got a tiny bit more snow last night so at least it is safe to walk on the driveway again. I was sliding all over the place yesterday.

Oof, I HATE ice storms. Our power will invariably go out. I think we're expecting some snow or ice on Monday, but I don't keep too close an eye on it. We had a couple small snows this year so far. One for Christmas Eve, which was awesome. Just a couple inches, but gave us a While Christmas! And then another couple inches a week or so ago. Not enough for my snow blower, so I had to do it with a shovel, but it was quick.
