I just found out today that Sir Clive Sinclair passed away on September 16, 2021, at the age of 81.

Let's just say my introduction to computers in the 80's was strickly a USA experience. But it turns out that the world of computing was exploding just as much in the United Kingdom, if not around the world.

Sir Clive Sinclair was the founder of Sinclair Research, Ltd., a UK pioneer of home computers in 1980.  Sinclair's ZX series of computers took the British comsumer electronics market by storm, and led to the development of the Sinclair ZX Spectrum in 1982 - which definitely launched the British video game industry!

What a way to honor Sir Clive Sinclair! The ZX Spectrum is cool.

But what's really new to me is the television series spawned by the proliferation of home systems and the popuarity of video games throughout the UK by the early 1990's.

Nothing is more awesome to me than to see ordinary British guys in the early years of video gaming willing to go on-stage to show their skills to a nationwide audience. An the whole cathedral themed set is pretty killer too!
