I recently purchased a DVD set of four of her movies, and it gave me the idea to create a thread devoted to her. Does anyone here have a favorite movie that she starred in? For me, it's Gidget, but I have enjoyed all of the movies I've seen her in to some degree.

Have you seen The Dunwich Horror? I haven't, but it's somewhere in my infinitely long list of movies to watch.

The women of New Vegas ask me a lot if there's a Mrs. New Vegas. Well, of course there is! You're her. And you're still just as perfect as the day we met.

This is exactly the kind of stuff that got me in trouble on RetroJunk.

When people chat about stars like Sandra Dee they overlook how "sweet" and "innocent" entertainment was for most of the 1960's.

Movies and television were both designed for general audiences. The wild, swinging 60's of legend was well near the end of the decade.

Here's a clip from the movie, "Tammy" from 1963. Sandra Dee was a magnificent singer and to hear her in this lovely song is just awesome.

You don't hear songs like this in movies anymore:

I haven't seen that one. In fact, I never realized that she stepped into the horror genre. I'd be interested in seeing it just for the fact that it would have to be much different from the types of movies I have seen her in.

@Mr Magic - It's kind of cool that she was a big enough deal to have a song from Grease entirely devoted to her, isn't it?

I'm very much a fan of the sweet, innocent films of the '60s. Thanks for sharing the clip of Sandra Dee singing. She had such a sweet voice. I'm actually planning on watching one of her Tammy movies tonight, and this clip helped get me excited for watching it.
