I'd like to see when I have the time.
BTW, for those who have Starz and Encore you can catch classic western movies and shows on the Starz/Encore Westerns channel 24 hrs. a day! "Magic can happen to you."

I haven't seen nearly enough westerns, but McLintock! and River of No Return are two that I recall enjoying.

The Oklahoma Kid
James Cagney is known for his gangster films, but he can do a good western too. "Magic can happen to you."

Bone Tomahawk
(9/10) This horror-western was full of surprises! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Most horror movies have cues but I had no idea what was about to happen next. Bone Tomahawk for the majority of the movie, doesn't have any background music. You are listening as intently as the characters on screen. Best of all, I really liked the characters. I didn't want anybody to die (never thought I'd say that about a horror movie). Check it out! |

Old Yeller
Something different from the usual gun-totin' westerns. "Magic can happen to you."

The movie Tall Tale was one of my favorite westerns during my childhood. I became very interested in reading up on stories about Pecos Bill after seeing it.

Take a walk on the Unconventional Side.
In each of our lives something happens that acts like a milepost, marking the moment when everything changed. For me it was the year 1970. I can't explain it but in 1970 the world changed. The world of my grandparents and parents was falling away and a new world was forming before my eyes. Take one movie as an example. "Little Big Man" - Dustin Hoffman - 1970 |

Shenandoah
James Stewart is a heck of an actor. "Magic can happen to you."
