I'm willing to bet that if you erase your signature, it will start working. Why... I really don't know.

Not having a text sig seem to have made a difference for me when using the quote button.

Well, in what became an unnecessarily arduous task, 80sXChange is finally on it's new home server. What a mess that was, through no fault of anyone really... just one of those things.

Getting and uploading the files/database was the easy part. Getting the forum to connect to the database, well... that was a whole other thing. After days of reading countless support threads, contacting vBulletin AND my hosting company for help, and bugging poor Sal with every bit of it, the issue was finally resolved.

Turns out not ALL of the database tables were making it through because of the tremendous size of the forum data. Once that issue was taken care of, the light at the end of the tunnel was in view.

Big thanks to Sal for his help and patience.

An email to 80sXChange members garnered us 98 new visitors and 7 new registrations here yesterday. Not bad. Unfortunately, nearly half of the email addresses were no longer valid, and bounced. Still, over 9,000 valid email addresses to people who have already committed in previous years to registering at a "retro" site is an nice market to be able to tap from time to time. Here's to hoping for even more new blood down the road.

I've come over from 80's xchange. Not been on for a while, but thought i'd have a look. I'm big on Videos, Computers and a retro 80's DJ. so Retro Daze which also includes 90's is my cuppa tea.

Very nice choice of business card! If only it would make sense for me to use the same thing in the propane business.
