That article is from a few years ago. In fact, I've seen the headline posted as a meme on the internet a while that said something along the lines of "We had four movies telling us how bad of an idea this is."

A few weeks ago the internet went a buzz with a story regarding a mysterious wolf-like creature. A rancher out in Montana killed the thing and the authorities weren't able to identify what exactly it was. This led to wild speculations that the creature was literally a werewolf.
Turns out through DNA testing they identified it to be a gray wolf. *Insert funny signature here*
